Teens: Do you sometimes miss school when you are on summer vacation?
Yes! You explained EXACTLY how I feel lol, to a T! Took the exact words right outta my mouth :p .......Usually. But this past year was different. This past school year I particularly hated, and I have an important conflict with two classes in my schedule for next year, apparently, that can't be rectified, and it's impossible for me to choose one or the other. So since I found that out yesterday, I've been angry and upset at that :/ That said, currently I don't want summer vacation to end... That might change later on down the line as per usual, but right now I'm just disgusted with school still and want nothing to do with it lol.
I am soon 17 and I have some money I have earned in summer. Should I even consider using my money to try to earn some more or should I just play it safe and wait when I have steady income?
Some questions on Quora are vacuous and not worth thinking about.Yours is not one of those. I think it's very healthy and intelligent that a young person should pose such a question. What's more, it's an early occurrence of a type of question that will crop up again and again in your life. You earned some money in the summer - good for you. If you feel you know a good way to increase your capital without too much risk then go for it, give it a try. Even if you lose you will learn a whole lot, and in the process, probably without even noticing it, you will kick-start your business life. How’s this for a suggestion? Put half of your summer earnings away somewhere it will earn interest, and use the other half for your scheme. That way, even if the scheme is a total loss, you will still have something to fall back on, and you won't feel so bad about it too. My guess is you will succeed, anyway.Very good luck to you, I think you have a very mature approach and will go far.
How soon may I put a position on my resume? I just started a part-time position (two weeks ago) that will continue, as I apply for summer internships. I have only done one project thus far. Is it too soon to put the part-time job on my resume?
Something to realize is that a recruiter looking at your resume (especially for internships) is usually not looking to have you onboard their system immediately. The hiring process can take weeks, if not months, for large companies and a bit shorter for smaller companies. Internships also hire way ahead of when the planned start date is.This means listing your experience will show what you will know by the time your actual start date begins. But that of course is assuming that you like your position and will continue it for some time.Good luck :)

Good luck!
How can I make a good summer campaign?
A campaign about what? What type of campaign - awareness or selling or something else? What do you want to achieve with a “campaign”? And what resources do you have available to you? So…if I understand correctly, you work for a digital marketing agency and you want to run a campaign this summer to generate more leads for your business.I agree with the other responses - the keys to success are the same regardless of the season. But there’s no reason why you couldn’t incorporate a summer theme in your work.If you are selling digital marketing services, most likely your target market is going to be in-house communications people or small business owners. Three things to keep in mind:they are likely to be already overloaded, with lots of things going on at the same timethey’re probably just wishing and waiting for their own summer holidaythey’re under pressure to show resultsYou can address all three points and tie it into summer. So, for example, send out a tweet (with an appropriate, high-quality photo) of “Life’s a beach…..when you let XXX (your company name) handle your digital marketing”. That’s kind of cheesy, to be sure, but you get my drift. You might consider selling a single service, something small and easily manageable, rather than “digital marketing” as a whole. Such as: “Go climb a mountain while your newsletter scales the peak of success” or “Head off on holiday while we do your social media audit”. Etc.Another thing to consider is that these decision-makers will have to hit the ground running in September - sell the services that will help your clients be ready to go into action as soon as summer is over. There you go - some ideas to get you started. And please share your campaign with us when you’ve launched it.
Are you doing anything fun this summer?
Thanks for the A2A. My family had two parties in the last few weeks, and will be having a few more in the next month or so. We also may be going down the shore at some point.
