When Does Professional Use Relaxer Expire

Is this hair relaxer safe to use?

i wouldnt use any dye, relaxer or perming product thats over a year old.

you could call the company and see when it was made (they can tell by one of the numbers on the box usually)

or take it back to the store and get one with a date thats 2008/2009.

also...it wont wreck your hair by usuing expired stuff but most likely just come out uneven or not work at all

*edit* the ones who say it'll make ur hair FALL OUT have no clue what theyre talking about, breakage possibly, but not fall out....i hate when people use that as a scare tactic

Is there a way for a relaxer to cause permanent hair loss?

Absolutely YES! Relaxers contain some very harsh chemicals such as lye that can cause chemical burns to the scalp and face which may result in hair breakage and permanent hair loss. FOLLOWING THE MANUFACTURER INSTRUCTIONS completely to avoid such injury. As always, if you are unsure of how to properly apply and time a hair relaxer product, it may be best to seek out a licensed professional to do this service for you.Another thing to remember before applying a relaxer is previous chemical services used on your hair and how long ago you used the chemical because alot of chemical services do not “mesh” well with others resulting in hair breakage and hair loss. A perfect example is if someone had a chemical curl service ( Gerri curl , s curl) and decided to have their hair relaxed or vice versa. The end result will be immediate hair breakage! Another chemical that can't be used on relaxed hair is high lift color and bleach.

Does relaxers expire?

I have a 64oz jar of relaxer (no mix formula) I used once and now its been a little over a year. I would like to know is there a timeframe in which a relaxer should be thrown out once the Jar has been opened. Please keep in mind this is the no mix formula. Thanks

Can perm expire?

I believe it may have an expiration date on it. I wouldn't be too bold as to say it will last atleast 6 months to a year. That is if you haven't mixed it already. If you mixed the activator onto the base than it's no good after a couple hours to a day. Don't risk it.

Does store-bought hair dye ever expire?

Hair Dye
When to toss: After 24 months. The consistency and chemicals change over time, and the dye loses its ability to color your hair and may leave splotchy patches, says Marcy Cona, director of education and shows for Clairol Professional.

Can one re-file-140 after the expiration of labor certification for Greencard?

Yes.  Your immigration counsel should cite a USCIS memo (link below) regarding LC validity.  See Page 4 of 9, Section B, Exceptions:  http://www.hooyou.com/lc/article... Also note once the new I-140 petition is pending, the LC should resume being able to support a one-year AC-21 H extension beyond six years.

Can you get sick by taking expired medication?

Thank you for your A2A request. In general, it is unlikely you can get sick from taking expired medicine. The concern is more with a loss in the potency of the drug as manufacturers do not do long-term studies on the viability of the drug after the expiry date.Interestingly enough the US military has tested drugs to see if their potency remained a decade after expiry date and found that most of the medicines contained the original potency. It seems that medication in liquid form loses their drug potency after the drug has expired.Drug Expiration Dates — Do They Mean Anything? - Harvard HealthIt is always better to be on the safer side and take non-expired prescription medications; ask your pharmacist as they would be an excellent resource.
