It means that they live-stream TV shows/drama that have been produced and filmed for their own channel.Now as TVD is with the cable TV network, The CW. So it won't be showcased on Netflix unless of course The CW shuts down the show and Netfkix has some compelling reasons to revive/continue the show on their online-channel.
