How would you go about making a good live-action Dragon-Ball movie? Or do you think it is impossible?
I’d just do the opposite of what the screenplay Ben Ramsey did when making Dragonball Evolution (still scarred by that garbage)… and listen to Akira Toriyama’s ideas and suggestions! That movie turned out the way it did due to, Ben Ramsey not listening to Akira Toriyama when he was being advised on writing the script (he wasn’t a fan of DB, but most of all, he had no knowledge of the DB Universe in the first place). He ignored everything and created something entirely different from Dragon Ball. WTF! GOKU IS WHITE! GOKU GOES TO SCHOOL! ŌZARU THE GREAT APE HAVING A RELATIONSHIP WITH PICCOLO AND AS A PAWN! I could go on until this answer of mine becomes a 300-page book.In 2016, he (Ben Ramsey) has apologized for the way it turned out, nonetheless, I’m still pissed, scarred and depressed with what I watched that fateful day in 2009. His exact words, "To have something with my name on it as the writer be so globally reviled is gut wrenching. To receive hate mail from all over the world is heartbreaking. [...] I went into the project chasing after a big payday, not as a fan of the franchise but as a businessman taking on an assignment. I have learned that when you go into a creative endeavor without passion you come out with sub-optimal results, and sometimes flat out garbage. So I'm not blaming anyone for Dragonball [Evolution] but myself."Also in 2016, Toriyama wrote: "I had put Dragon Ball behind me, but seeing how much that live-action film ticked me off...". He felt the result was a movie he couldn't even call "Dragon Ball". So, Toriyama suggested to his fans to treat it as an alternate universe version of his work.It’s possible. We as Dragon Ball fans just need a screenplay overlooked by Akira Toriyama and most importantly a “fan of the franchise” writing the screenplay.Good God! I can’t believe how pissed I still am of that garbage nearly 10 years later!Lastly, I want to add that I’ve read most of the answers to this question and some really suck. A live action Dragon Ball movie is possible. It seems that some of y’all think it has to be culmination of the entire canon universe. It can revolve around one arc or so. We definitely don’t want a live action DB movie with the entire universe shoved into it. Regardless what anyone thinks or says, a Dragon Ball live action film can be made and be successful. It’s possible with the right people involved.
Is there anyone who can beat Superman in the Dragon Ball Universe?
The answer is, "There is almost everyone!!"I won't include Humans, since Superman being an alien is 100 times stronger than an Earthling.But, despite that above Fact, Kurillen, Tien can land atleast one punch against Superman!!Now coming to the other characters in the DB Universe...Picollo - the namekian can't win against Superman in full, but will delay his victory. But given to the fact of his special abilitites, he has a chance too!!Android 17, Android 18 - being android, then can be programmed to hold Kryptanite in their body, so they can defeat superman by exposing his weakness. Neverthless, they can easily outmatch him without the Green Stone too!!Captain Gynu - win or loss, Superman will be losing his body to this show stopper ;)Freeza, Cell, Majin Boo, Brody - cold hearted Villans. They will Kill Superman !!!!Gohan - from a SS2 to gry matter, he can easily defeat Superman in less than 5 min!!Vegeta - the master tactitian. Superman will be KO in less than a minute!!Goku - Just blink your eyes, the match would have been ended with Superman at the ground.
Should I watch the Dragon Ball series subbed or dubbed?
I would say that it depends on how you like to hear the characters, and if you are prepared to watch subtitles. I personally prefer the dub, because…[WARNING: OPINION AHEAD] I think that the voices for the saiyans (Goku, Vegeta, basically a good chunk of the main (male) characters that do a good bit of fighting) in subbed just sound so freaking weird in subbed. This is coming from a guy who normally loves the sub and Japanese language, mind you. I just get disconnected hearing the high pitched Goku when, in my mind, he’s supposed to be this really tough fighter and a badass. However, in the original Dragon Ball, I also find kid Goku’s voice in the dub to be quite annoying.It’s a matter of taste, at the end of the day, as well as relative reading speed (if you go sub) and your general comfort level with the way subbed anime works. As I stated above, I normally watch anime subbed, so my decision was all about the sound of the voices. Take that as you will :)
Who is the most powerful being in the Dragon ball Universe? And, can Goku try and defeat him?
Jiren is the most powerful non-deity character in the Dragon Ball Universe.Or at least he will be until Goku figures out a way to level-up and once again regain the title.As for gods, Zeno the Omni-King is apparently the most powerful.Or at least that’s what we’ve been told.We haven’t actually seen him in too much action other than crying, shouting like a baby and acting like a little brat but Whis seems like a pretty reliable dude so I’ll buy it.Of course he easily obliterated Zamasu, so that’s pretty legit.Though as far as powerful feats go, just as impressive has been Whis.He easily stopped Beerus, the Universe 7 God of Destruction.I should note this was in the anime.In the manga it is inferred that Whis’ sister, Vados, is slightly more powerful than her bro. But we haven’t seen any proof to the contrary.And it is inferred further that their father Dia-Shinkan the Grand Priest is even more powerful still.[Which is crazy because this guy looks like he’s all of 10 years-old, while both Whis and Vados look twice his age. Gods are crazy.]Notably, in the manga, the Grand Priest blocked both a full-powered Beerus and Quitela with just two fingers, 1 finger for each.I believe that’s the greatest feat demonstrated out of any character in all of the Dragon Ball Universe.So in terms of fighting capabilities, the Grand Priest is currently the most adept.Though I’m pretty sure Zeno could wipe him out with a single sneeze if the Omni-King was feeling particularly douchey that day.However, there is one being even more powerful than Zeno and all the other characters, combined.Akira ToriyamaHe created the Dragon Ball Universe and all the beings that inhabitant it. With one sweep of his pen Akira can do anything he pleases to anyone or anything at anytime. Can I watch Dragon Ball Super if I did not watch Dragon Ball GT yet?
Absolutely!DB GT was made after the Buu saga where Goku and Vegeta are shown to transform into super Saiyan 4 (I'm sure DB fans must have seen the images on Google). Everybody in this saga is shown to have aged noticably. Goku is wished to become a kid by the dragon balls- this is a nice and different storyline altogether. Personally, I enjoyed the part when he becomes SS4 for the first time and the end fight with baby (the antagonist) and later on, when we get to see 2 SS 4 and later, SS4 gogeta. That’epic!DB super was made as if DB GT never happened. So ideally DB Super events happen first and then DB GT. However there is no relation between how strong is SS blue and SS4- totally different things.To conclude: being a Dragon Ball fan, I watched DB GT, I would recommend you to do so; not that you would be missing out on DB super- the new episodes come out only weekly.
