Where is the tool bar for all the text formatting, bold, underline, highlighting, yahoo mail?

I switched to new yahoo mail and HATE it. I hate the split screen and can't find the tool bar with all the text formatting, color, highlight, size, bold, italics, underline etc. where did it all go? and it seems to keep changing. the other day, everytime I opened up a message a tab was created until I got an error message that there was no more room for more tabs. I didn't even realize there were tabs at the top of the screen. and now, I see no tabs. I don't get it. the coloring is so hard to distinguish, it's all faded blue and it's just not easy to see. do they realize geriatric age is booming now.,

When typing email font size keeps changing on it's own?

If your default size was reset, the following steps will reset it back to the size you want (Tiny, Small, Medium, Extra Large, or Huge) I use Large.
While in your e-mail window and in Inbox mode:
To
set the default size, go to Gear and select Settings, then Writing Email tabs. In Writings Emails tab,
in Default Rich Text Font row, Select (Small, Medium, Large, or Extra Large) from the second pull-down.(right most). This window also has a pull-down to select from a limited number of font types.
Select Save to save the settings.
