How do I delete Yahoo.mail from my computer?

Yahoo mail is a web site. It is not on your computer. If you don't want it then don't go there.

To make ANY page your home page do the following.

First go to the page you want to be your home page.
See if there is a link at the top of the page to do it for you. Some pages such as Yahoo.com have the link for IE and not Firefox. If there is no link then....

A. If you are using Internet Explorer.
     1. There is a little house icon on the Command Bar.
     2. Click on the triangle next to it and then "add or change home page".
     3. Select the correct option.

B. For any browser (including Internet Explorer).
     1. Go to tools > options (or internet options).
     2. Select the first tab or section (main or general).
     3. Select the option to make the current page your home page.
     4. If you want a blank page as home page then select that option.

If I delete an email I sent to someone, can he/she still read it?

A very few public email systems allow for a delay after you hit ‘send’, before it’s actually sent. GMail allows this, if you have configured your account for it. I think you have 30 seconds to change your mind. Some private (business) email systems allow for “recall” of a message, which will usually prevent the recipient from reading it if they had not yet read it when you issued the recall… but I have found this to be very unreliable, at least in Microsoft Outlook. In almost every case, when you “delete” an email, you are only deleting your copy. Train yourself to proofread and consciously approve the email before you hit the send key.

How do I delete my Outlook e-mail from my computer?

I have graduated school and no longer need my school email on my computer. I use Microsoft Outlook 2010. When I go to Control Panel -> User Accounts and Family Safety -> Mail -> E-mail Accounts, I click on my e-mail then click remove. I keep getting the same message:

Before deleting the e-mail account containing your personal mail, contacts, and calendar data, you must create a new location for your data.
To create a new data location, open the Account Settings dialog box, click the Data Files tab, and then click Add.

I have no need for any of that data. What can I do?

When I delete an email from my iPad, why doesn't it get deleted from my iPhone as well?

There are 2 types of email accounts POP and IMAP. POP will not update all your devices when you read or delete a message.IMAP *will* update all your devices when you read or delete a message. My guess is your email account is setup as POP on your iPad/iPhone. If you setup the email account as IMAP on both your iPad and iPhone, then it will delete from both.

I have 10,102 items in my Yahoo Mail inbox. How can I delete them all at once?

go to yahoo mailType “e” in the search box.Select the “Inbox” dropdown option to the left of the search box.Click the empty checkbox to select all .click deleteclick to confirm when it asks if you want to delete allFor some reason you have to repeat the above 2 or 3 times and then repeat replacing “e” with “a” in step 2, but that gets most of the email, but I just used this to quickly delete 14,000 + emails in the current yahoo mail.

If I delete my gmail account from one device, are my emails still on my other devices?

If you are deleting one account from one device, then yes, your emails will be on every device they were previously on.If you are actually deleting the services and deactivating the account from one device, you will not have the emails on your other devices. If you want to deactivate your entire email address, go to settings, delete products, and deactivate account. If you simply would like to delete your email address from that one device, you can go a number of routes to solve this problem. You can open “Settings” and “Accounts” in your mobile phone to view all accounts you’re logged into (from Google, SoundCloud, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.). You can sign out of Google right there if you’d like.If I was deleting a google account completely from a device, I would use a backup for the device and wipe the entire system. There are more bugs and malware than most can imagine so I take the time to get my device working properly.

Why Do I keep getting this email that threatens to DELETE my account if I don't send my name, birthdate, PASS?

100% scam.

That is a scammer trying to hi-jack your email address to spam all your contacts and then use the account to spam hundreds/thousands of others.

Yahoo and all email companies, all banks and all companies in the entire world will NEVER ask for your password, pin or date of birth. No Exceptions Ever.

Ignore and delete that email and any others demanding such information.

If you have responded to a scammer, you are on his 'potential sucker' list, he will try again to separate you from your cash. He will send you more emails from his other free email addresses using another of his fake names with all kinds of stories of needing your password, great jobs, lottery winnings, millions in the bank and desperate, lonely, sexy singles. He will sell your email address to all his scamming buddies who will also send you dozens of fake emails all with the exact same goal, you sending them your cash via Western Union or moneygram.

Do you know how to check the header of a received email? If not, you could google for information. Being able to read the header to determine the geographic location an email originated from will help you weed out the most obvious scams and scammers. Then delete and block that scammer. Don't bother to tell him that you know he is a scammer, it isn't worth your effort. He has one job in life, convincing victims to send him their hard-earned cash.

Whenever suspicious or just plain curious, google everything, website addresses, names used, companies mentioned, phone numbers given, all email addresses, even sentences from the emails as you might be unpleasantly surprised at what you find already posted online. You can also post/ask here and every scam-warner-anti-fraud-busting site you can find before taking a chance and losing money, email address or identity to a scammer.

If you google "yahoo email phishing scam", "email hijacked viagara porn spammer" or something similar you will find hundreds of posts of victims and near victims of this type of scam.

In fact, if you check out the section here at Yahoo Answers entitled "Yahoo email, spam and bulk mail" you will find hundreds of questions from victims who have had their email address hi-jacked or spoofed by scammers sending out porn and viagara spam.
