When I Get A Tonsil Stone Out Will My Breath Be Better

How to get rid of bad breath cause by tonsil stone?

Bad breath and tonsil stones?

Hi Stephanie,

It’s totally normal to get bad breath halfway through the day, even if you brushed in the morning. There are a number of factors. Your mouth could be getting dry due to the food you are eating or if you have allergies. Try drinking 6-8 glasses of water a day to keep your mouth full of saliva and this will also help stop bad breath. Try chewing a sugar-free gum, that may help too.

The best way to get tonsil stones out is to prevent them. Tonsil stones, also known as tonsilloliths are often misdiagnosed and fairly common. They are caused by the accumulation of sulfur-producing bacteria and debris that become lodged in your tonsils. These can also lead to bad breath.

You may want to consider seeing your dentist, but most likely you can remove them at home. Use an oxygenating toothpaste and mouthwash. When used in combination with nasal sinus drops it should eliminate your tonsil stones.

Yes, they certainly do! After suffering with bad breath for my whole adult life, I finally figured this out. I had my tonsils removed three months ago,. Before getting into getting into the best tonsil stones cures, I want to quickly clarify something, I want to make sure that you understand something, which is that tonsil stones and tonsillitis are NOT the same thing.Tonsillitis is the inflammation of your tonsils. What happens with tonsillitis is that your tonsils becomes red and swollen. This occurs because of a virus or bacteria has caused an infection of your tonsils.Tonsil stones on the other hand, occur when the tiny pockets in your tonsils (“tonsil crypts”) are infected, not the tonsils themselves (tonsillitis), although tonsillitis and tonsil stones can be present at the same time.If you can see whitish or yellowish stones in the back of your throat, you know you likely have tonsil stones. Coughing the tonsil stones out is definitely not the most effective and comfortable way, but it is a way.A better way to get your tonsil stones out is to gently poke them out with a cotton swab. Some people even use a toothbrush, but I’m definitely more comfortable with a Q-Tip. When using this method, be careful not to poke too deep or hard. You don’t want to cause an infection in the mouth.Another way to get rid of tonsil stones at home is to fill a syringe with salt and warm water, and flood the tonsil stones loose. You may also try gargling with salt water to loosen them up; doing this repeatedly will eventually make it easier to expel. If you are able to reach the stones with your fingertips, you can try to scrape them off.Another tonsil stone treatment is to use high pressured water jets that will act as laser to loosen the stones.
