When Is A Good Week To Start Raking In Boston

How would I get into stock trading?

There are tons of strategies for earning money in the stock market, so you have to learn a few, try them out, and see which ones are easiest for you. Don't jump right into learning complex strategies, build your education on a good foundation.

If you're looking for a book, then "Investing for Dummies" is a good one to start with. Otherwise, search for some free stock market investing guides for beginners. Don't pay for this education as many great sites offer quality basic stock market trading info for free. After you've learned the basics, you can move on to learning some strategies and advanced info. Investopedia.com is a great resource of stock market info and strategies, but I don't suggest using it until you've learned the basics so you're not overwhelmed.

For analyzing advanced stock charts, Freestockcharts.com and Bigcharts.com are a couple very good free chart services. Last, when you've educated yourself well and are ready to start trading in the stock market, you'll want to test your skills first by seriously trading in a stock market simulation game. This will allow you to make mistakes and learn some quick lessons by actually trading stocks, but will cost you nothing.

Boston weather, is it worth it to move there?

With having so many options to live in the US, one may have the option of Boston, but it super cold! And in July it is hot. So my question, if more than 8 months of the year the weather is not good, yet Boston has sooo much to offer, is it worth it moving there? How are people there? Nice or not nice? lol

Is there a way to say "Have a nice start of the (work) week" in proper English?

I really don't think it's a matter of proper versus improper English, or of how people feel about workdays,  but more a function of differing frequencies of use. It's not especially uncommon to hear "I hope you have a good week," or "I hope your week goes well." It's less common than "Have a good weekend," I'll admit. Even so, I have frequently said, and heard, "I hope things go well (better) for you at work this week." And the more I think about it, the more I'm remembering people saying "Have a good week." All of those are perfectly grammatical as far as I can tell, and I've done graduate work in grammar. When we say "Have a good weekend" we may or may not specify what the person will be doing: "Have a good weekend. I hope the weather stays nice for your gardening." Similarly, if we've discussed what is going on at our friend's workplace, and if we generally don't see them during the week, we might well say "Have a good week at work. I hope you're able to get that project back on track."I hope this offered some kind of clarity. Have a nice Sunday.

Why is Martin Prado so underrated?!?

Players that are underrated :

Catcher- Francisco Cervelli, Yankees
Cervelli has basically been the Yankees starting catcher all season due to injuries to Jorge Posada, and he has stepped up big time. He is hitting .375 with 15 rbi’s, a step down from the .400 average which he held all season coming into this week.

Second base- Martin Prado, Braves
Prado is playing out of his mind right now, or is he? Looking over the past two seasons he has hit .320(288 at bats), and .307(450 at bats). This year he is hitting .329 with 4 home runs and 18 rbi’s, proving the 26-year old is becoming an elite second basemen. TOTALLY AGREE

Third Base- Casey McGehee, Brewers
McGehee is raking on a team that can’t pitch for ****, hitting .322 with 8 home runs and 35 rbi’s. It’s time to start talking more about him ESPN, and get his *** on the all star team.

DH-Joey Votto, Reds
Votto could easily be at first if not for Morales’ great defense. Votto has always been a favorite of the writers on this website, averaging a .308 average, 29 home runs, and 99 rbi’s in his four year career(ESPN projections for each of his four full seasons combined). This year he’s at .308 with 9 jacks and 27 rbi’s. He has taken a back seat to guys like Ryan Howard and Albert Pujols for too long, it’s time to get this guy some serious credit now that he’s on a first place team.

Center Field- Brett Gardner, Yankees
Gardner had originally won the Center Field job for the Yankees last season, but lost it to injury. In his first full year as a starter he is the Yankees best outfielder hitting .321 with 2 jacks and 12 rbi’s. Not to mention he is second in the league with 17 stolen bases.OMG THIS GUY FAST.

Left Handed Set Up- Pedro Feliciano, Mets
The Mets not using Feliciano in a game this year would be like seeing Joba Chamerlain’s father use the stairs, it just doesn’t happen. He has developed more command over the past two seasons, and now that he has put it together he is posting a 1.54 era with 4 holds for the Mess.

What is a good lawn care schedule for Massachusetts (Zone 5B)?

You won't find a calendar format that will tell you exactly everything that you ought to do, when to do it, and how to do it. But, lime your lawn now if a pH test of the soil shows it to be acidic.. Once grass and weeds begin to grow broadcast a weed and feed fertilizer for this will kill most, if not all, of the weeds and allows the grass to fill in the vacant spots. You need to choose what height you want to keep your grass cut at. Do know this though: cutting the grass too short allows for the soil to dry out quickly during hot dry weather, keeping it too long during cool, damp weather promotes fungus and mold, So in general, cut the grass shorter in the spring and fall while cutting it somewhat higher during the hot summer months. Seed now to restore bare spots to full coverage, treat for grubs now (but this can be done almost anytime during the warm months), water one inch per week in general to establish new grass plants. If available obtain composted sludge from a local municipality and evenly spread this over your lawn in the fall just prior to the ground freezing. This is an excellent soil conditioner that adds nutrients and also lime if the facility producing it added lime to stabilize the solids prior to composting it. I did this to my lawn in north central Worcester county for three years in a row and I never watered my lawn and had the best green grass ever.

Grass clippings are something which you will have to decide what to do with. Leave them on the lawn as long as they are of short lengths so that they can decompose and be added back into the soil. Remove them when there are massive amounts that form windrows and clumps that tend to kill off the grass underneath. I currently feed grass clippings to my chickens and use the rest as mulch around vegetable plants in my garden. Some even get used around the bases of young trees planted out in the yard. It is up to you. This fall you ought to broadcast a winterizing mixture of fertilizer to beef up the roots of your grass so that next spring your lawn will be ready to jump into high gear. Good luck!

My lawn is barren and dry - how do I get it in shape (in a month?)?

Rake out any debris that will keep seed from touching the soil.Seed MUST have contact w/ the soil in order to germinate.Pull out the weeds, if possible.Put some very loose, friable soil on the dusty, dry areas. Overseed 1 lb. per 100 sq. ft.Feed w/ a lawn starter fertilizer, organic if possible- if using synthetic fertilizer, use 1/2 the recommended amt.You are ALWAYS better off feeding lightly and more frequently. Grass can only take up a certain amt of fert. at one time. Water daily for 2 weeks. Seed and soil both need to be the consistency of a wrung-out sponge.Cut back water to every other day for 1 wk;every 3rd day for 1 wk., until you are only watering 1x wk.Do the initial mowing when new lawn is 3" tall.Have a great party! You are wise to be thinking ahead this far.

How is the life of a consultant working with the BCG and McKinsey?

I will limit my answer to the supposedly "bright side".  Consultants/ Managers in consulting generally work on 5 day on site basis. So I would like to boast of the glamour quotient in India:a. Flights: We are supposed to fly out of our hometown on Monday Morning. General Flight time 05:30 AM to 07:30 AM. This is for people in Delhi. Those from offices elsewhere might be leaving on Sunday evening. In essence, its comforting for me being from Delhi that I need to get up at 03:00 in the morning on Monday We are back on only on a Friday evening flight generally around 06:00 PM to 09:00 PM. So I reach home only at about 11:00 PM. Those not from Delhi will be reaching on Saturday Morningb. Car: We would need transport at client site from Airport or on a daily basis. Again, it could be as much as 2-3 hours from Airport to Client Site. And the road condition in West Bengal, Jharkhand, UP make the matter worst. Gujarat, MP, parts of Maharashtra, Orissa are all good.c. Hotels: Owing to a long term usage of hotel for the whole team, generally there is a healthy 40% discount on the room tariff if negotiated well. So the team may stay in Hyatt, Radisson etc for the duration. However, when one reaches hotel at 9:00 PM in the evening and has to have  summary meeting with the Manager, it makes little difference. Yes, people do rake in loyalty points. But, what it the use if one doesn't get time to use those loyalty points. Many a times client may insist on providing a guest house also to reduce the costs d. Food: While a buffet spread of Radisson may look inviting on any given day, it gives me nausea even thinking about it on a daily basis. I eat home style dal-Khichdi on at least 2 nights and tawa roti with simple sabzi the other two nights. All in all, it is about survival:  Living out of a suitcase without adequate time to eat, sleep or for family.

What big city has the best small town feel?

There are plenty of big cities throughout the country that emanate a  “small-town feel” and cultivate community at a level you wouldn't expectin  a large city. Portland and Boston tend to receive a lot of praise in  this regard and they certainly deserve it. However, after briefly  detailing some ofthe reasons why they garner so much love, I’m going  to tell you why New Orleans also deserves at least an honorable  mention. Portland is a beautiful city that has earned its reputation as a  politically liberal and environmentally friendly city; receiving praise  for its abundance of gardens, effective transportation systems (America's Favorite Cities 2012 - Portland, OR), and for their beer, coffee and street cart food  enthusiasm. Portland continues to grow and develop as a city as it  quietly continues to rake in more and more accolades for their  food-scene, breweries, coffees, transportation system or just for the  city itself. Boston is another wonderfully small, big city. While the  metropolitan area is one of the largest in the country, Boston enjoys a  small town feel thanks in large part to its plethora of greenery and  parks. Boston Common is the nation’s oldest public park and is a part of  the charming Emerald Necklace, a chain of parks designed by Frederick  Law Olmsted, of Central Park fame among other brilliant landscape  projects. The number of colleges and universities in reasonably close  proximity to one another, (somewhat surprisingly) helps cultivate a  community feel as a large college town as opposed to a booming  metropolitan center. New Orleans is renowned for its jazz scene and  the famous annual Carnival celebration but the Big Easy doesn't have to  be as “big” as its nickname would suggest. While New Orleans remains a  favorite tourist destination at various times throughout the year, the  community that calls it home is exceptionally friendly, diverse and  tight-knit. New Orleanians are very nice and know how to have a nice  celebration or festival throughout the year (plenty more than a visitor  would be familiar with)! Most of the tourism happens in the French  Quarter where you can find such historic landmarks as Jackson Square and  Bourbon Street (definitely worth a trip or two) but if you visit some  of the adjacent neighborhoods such as the Central Business District, you  will be pleasantly surprised.
