When Is E3 And Will The Ps4 System Be Shown Then

Will Xbox One be better than the PS4?

So if you guys watched the reveal of the new xbox, you'd know some things about it. Basically, it can play music (so can my phone), it can play movies (so can a dvd player), it has internet (so does my computer), and its voice activated which is pretty cool but honestly, whose that lazy that they can't go to something on the dashboard by just using the controller.

So the unneeded social aspect has been upgraded but the gaming aspect is still hazy. This is a gaming console, gamers don't need internet and facebook on a xbox. The xbox wont always be on which is good but some games, depending on the developers, may require you have internet connection. And thats where they lose half their customers. Microsoft is already going under because of Apple.. they cant start to get too greedy.

As far as I can see, I may go with the PS4, because its more about gaming and not about socializing, and not to mention will be much much cheaper to own. I don't know how microsoft thinks that non gamers are going to buy an xbox becuase it has the internet, skype, and a blue ray dvd player. If PS4 makes the price just right and doesn't screw it up like last time, I think that they will win over alot of people from xbox. Thats just my opinion. And as far as everyone can tell from today, the new xbox probably wont allow you to play used games. The only thing good about that is that Gamestop, who are greedier than EA or xbox, will take a huge hit from this.

ps. I own a 360, not a ps3, so I'm not bias.

Will the PS5 be released soon?

I’d predict 2020.The PlayStation 3 is still supported and will be until March 2019. With the PS3 finally obsolete, I’d think that Sony will announce the PS5 at the following E3 game show but the console probably won’t be on the shelves until early 2020 and that’s if all goes smoothly.Just because there’s a possibility we could see the PS5 within 2–3 years though, it doesn’t mean the PS4 will suddenly disappear, it took around 2 years for the PS4 to take the market from the PS3 and even now, 5 years into the PS4 era, the PS3 is still kicking. It can be reasonably expected that the PS4 still has around 4 years of quality development. Not to mention, this is a great time to get onto the platform, it’s late in the development cycle and developers have learned how to get the most out of the hardware so we’re now starting to see the best the console has to offer. There’s also a very impressive existing library with a large lineup still in development. So even if the PS5 is announced soon after, the PS4 is still a great investment with at least 4 years of good support and development to look forward to. If it goes as well as the PS3, it could still be kicking in 2025.

Do you think Sony will drop the price of PS4 at this years E3? Why or why not?

The thing Sony has going for it at the moment is it's reduced price compared to the XBox One plus slightly higher processing power due to not including as advanced a system as kinect. Now that Microsoft is going to offer a version without Kinect for the same price the only option Sony has to maintain competitiveness is to drop their price.Prices generally drop over the life of a system anyhow as the cost of manufacturing drops with volume sales and as the technology becomes older it is cheaper to produce. Both systems will continue to drop in price over the next few years but will likely stabilize within 50$ or so of each other.Originally Sony was going to include their PS Eye with every system but when Microsoft announced the same strategy they nixed that idea to cut the price and try to draw in bargain hunters. As we can see with Microsoft being forced to offer a Kinect less system this is now hurting innovation and technology. As I pointed out in other answers game developers are not going to develop for an add-on that only a small percentage of the public owns. Ariel Williams's answer to Why is Microsoft including the Kinect with every Xbox One? Offering it as an optional add-on guarantees that it will never be properly utilized. If everyone has it then there is a reason to develop the technology. By changing their plans for a small initial boost in sales Sony has actually crippled what could have been the next step in gaming. Instead of being innovators they are going for the budget system. From here their only option is to now race to the bottom by trying to continue to undercut the price of their only real competitor.

Will Sony only present at PlayStation Experience now that it is no longer presenting at E3?

The way I read that was that Sony wasn’t planning on presenting because they had nothing new and exciting to present which I take to mean that the PS4 is still their main focus and they’ll probably just put together a games showcase to show titles in development. When Sony plan to release new hardware they’ll most likely be more active at these media events, until then, they’re just riding on the PS4 train. It’s too early to talk up the next generation and the current generation isn’t going to change a lot, so there’s not much point to a presentation.

Download PS3 Games to PS4 From PS Store?

You will be able to play ALL PS1, PS2 and PS3 games on your PS4. Starting in 2014 via Sony's recently acquired Gaikai service and technology (cloud-based gaming tech), you will be able to stream your old games to your PS4 system (PS3 games and PS1/PS2). Although you will be able to stream these games to your PS4, the PS4 is NOT backwards compatible (meaning that you will NOT be able to play your PS1/PS2/PS3 disc games on the next-gen console). As I said, NO PS1/PS2/PS3 disc games, but you can stream them with Gaikai.

So, my advice is to continue purchasing games on the PSN, but try to purchase as much content on the PSN rather than on disc. This way, when the Gaikai service is up and running in 2014, you can then stream your PS3 content to your PS4 system.

I doubt Sony is going to charge a fee to "re-download" your recently purchased PSN content onto your PS4, but I'm not really sure if they have commented on that part yet. I seriously doubt Sony will charge you "again" or even a small fee to download previously purchased PSN content to your PS4, as this will upset gamers (as we all know from the recent E3 gaming expo in Los Angeles, CA, Sony is in the business of keeping gamers on their side... and happy)!!! I hope this answers your questions. :-)

Can I play games on ps4 without internet?

Thanks for the A2A by Sai Mukund R!Yes! And no.. Kind of, games which are purely online. E.g. Overwatch, you can open. Click ‘X’ and then it says fetching online profile. Cancels, and that's it.. however, there are loads of games where you can play without internet. To name a few FIFA, COD, BattleField, (however this series is much much more enjoyable online). But you can still play them. You can play games offline, campaign or local. You can also, take screenshots and record gameplay. However do note, you cannot live-stream or upload your records, or screenshots, without an internet connection.Hope this helps.EDIT: Some games, such as COD mentioned in Asad’s answer do require a certain amount of updates to play. Like if you tried it just straight away with it updates, it wouldn't work. Or you'd get a very limited game.

Should i gst the xbox or the Ps4??

First off I have all 3 - an XBOX, Ps3 and PC.

I refuse to buy an xbox one:
1. DRM on used games
2. a Camera that could invade your privacy
3. Always online policy
4. The over complication of the entire system.
5. Loss of consumer rights.

No things will NOT changed since they were announced at E3. Once the XBOX was announced things wouldn't change, they had time to make to a change before E3 (or to announce future changes) but they choose to stick with their initial design.

The Ps4 is a great system:
1. $100 cheaper -this fact is a given.
2. Used games are still fine
3. No constant online functionality required
4. Your paying for online -now this may seem like a negative however now Ps4 servers will be on par with xbox one's so even if your a hardcore shooter fan it would make sense to buy a ps4.
5. Great games: Infamous Second Son and Uncharted.
6. Ps4 Ram is Superior, xbox one has DDRM3 while Ps4 has DDRM5

And quite frankly M$ has been so rude and disprectful to the players. They even told people at IGN that if people don't have internet to buy a the xbox 360.

Will cloud gaming work?

Ya cloud gaming will really never be anything great.
The abilities of it are VERY limited. 1Gbps is the fastest internet is sold in packages, and that isnt even close to being enough to send processing data between computers. Not to mention, its VERY costly on their end. Try running 800,000 copies of BF4 at once.... gl with that...
Maybe some smaller arcade type games, maybe.

But Another thing with with this is the network latency. There will be a HUGE latency between what is happening and when you get the data. Not to mention problems with clients getting out of sync..
And with the whole streaming to the vita, it suffers from the same. There would be WAY too much latency to play games, especially fps type games...

I just think that was some BS they slung to make the xbox look not as shitty as it really is... imo the xbox one is a HUGE flop....
The PS4 is a far better console in like everyday, other then maybe media delivery services that the xbox is loaded with. But most people use their computers or have cable for those purposes anyway.
I dont understand the whole gaming and media center thing that consoles are trying to do. I guess they are just trying to become more and more like computers, but fail at it.

The future of console gaming = PC, but they will likely instead of making a console for the games, just make an operating system you install on your computer lol

EDIT: i think you misunderstand the last sentence.
a ps4 / xbox one = a pc. so its ALREADY true lol
The consoles are already converting to the x86 platform which computers use.

Im saying that in the future not too far off, a console will not exist in the way it does today. It will likely just be an operating system. Since Eventually consoles will become so much like pcs that it will blur the line between pc and console, and then consoles will just be "prebuilt" pcs with the gaming OPS on them.

And about the ps vita streaming thing, that is ONLY going through your home network id imagine in which it will work. Since using your home network there wont be as much latency.

Try doing it remotely from somewhere else (like across the city or better yet across the country), and play an online FPS game, and try to get some kills >.>
With how bad the latency would be from what you see and what is happening on the server, it would be unplayable.
