When Is Snapchat Stock Going To Go Public

Where can you buy Snapchat stock?

Snapchat’s IPO is going to be huge and is already oversubscribed in private markets, making it extremely difficult to acquire shares before the IPO date (rumored to be the beginning of March). That being said, if you can get your hands on the stock, the pre-IPO price is estimated in their S-1 to be between $14 and $16 a share, implying a valuation of between $19.5 and 22 billion.¹I imagine that if you have a wealth management account with Goldman or Morgan Stanley, they may have some shares available to their high-net-worth clients due to their position as the underwriter on the deal². You’re going to have to be loaded for this to be the case though. Like Lamborghini loaded. The good news is, on the IPO date, most brokers will make it available on their trading platforms. At that point, you can probably save yourself a few bucks in commission by using Robinhood to buy the stock for free or a low fee-structure brokerage .Good luck!Snapchat IPO: Share Pricing Values Company at Up to $22 BillionSnapchat picks Morgan Stanley, Goldman to lead IPO: sources

What is the release date for Snapchat's stock? I heard they will be going public.

There’s no actual date set.Because Snapchat (or Snap Inc., as it’s officially called), generates less than $1 billion in annual revenue, it can file its deal prospectus confidentially and doesn’t have to make information public until much nearer its IPO date. However, Bloomberg reported that they’re aiming to IPO in the first quarter of 2017 (probably sometime in March).

Would you recommend buying SNAP stock tomorrow when they go public with their IPO or would you wait few weeks after the initial hype?

Unlike Facebook and Twitter that first went public I'm just not that enthusiastic about SNAP. I think it's way over priced and overvalued. User growth seems tapered off and I'm still trying to wrap my head around advertising to a much younger demographic. So I'm not buying any until it settles in a week or two and then I'll dig into it a little more.I may miss a sizable pop in price but I really do think it will be short lived and retreat quickly.

Uber (company): What will Uber's market cap and stock price be when it goes public?

Uber is currently prepping itself to go public in 2019. It seems to finally be getting it’s act together after ousting Travis Kahlanick. New CEO Dara Khosrowshahi is consolidating the company and trimming to fat, pulling uber out of markets it should have been out a long time ago.The problem lies in that Uber is not profitable and they never have been.As these things go, and seeing what happened with SnapChat who also never figured out how to be profitable either (except selling crappy ads), the IPO will most likely open at $15-$17 a share. Then the trouble begins. All the armchair idiots who know nothing more than “Oh, I’ve used Uber a few times, it’s a great service, take my money” and they’ll buy a ton of stock. The price will rise for a week or two, because big idiots with too much money will buy up all the shares to make a quick profit. Then they’ll unload all the shares, the price will crater, and all the armchair fools will lose money, stupidly blaming Uber and Uber’s users will drop a bit for a while. The stock will tank.Observe Snapchat. In February of 2018, their stock hit over $20. Now it hovers around $7.My advice, buy in right when it IPO’s, then wait for it to rise about $5 a share and GTF OUT. Uber is not a long term investment.

With Ferrari and Snapchat both committing to doing an IPO, what is the best way to optimize returns in investing in both stocks on the day they go public?

On the day they go public, the best way to optimize returns is to get lucky. Pick a direction and hope they behave. Stocks tend to be very volatile when shares first hit the public market. This is because it's the public's first opportunity to get involved, and only a limited number of shares are available for trading since there are lock-ups associated with the IPO, so the price is very susceptible to making big moves. Be careful.
