What's your opinion about Sathyam Cinemas Luxe and Palazzo being taken over or coerced by Jazz Cinemas ("J")?
Being an avid Movie watcher, and a big fan of Sathyam Cinemas and their service, I really do not like even the thought of Luxe and pallazzo being Sold off to "J". Seriously, this was one part of the life that was not really influenced with politics, and here is the Entry now. I am really sure that most of the SPI Cinemas fans would not like this change. Even the part that IMAX screens are opened only after the switching of ownership is a surprising part. I wonder how much SPI Cinemas had to go through for years without being able to open the IMAX for licensing issues.Luxe had faced around 1 year to open (without IMAX) at Phoenix mall. But after just two weeks of Ownership change to "J" we see the opening of IMAX immediately inspite of being above the 120rs (priced 360rs now for IMAX). SPI Cinemas struggled to get licensing for quoting a price of 350rs for IMAX for 1 and half years , but "J" comes in, opens immediately. just WOW.A frustrated Sathyam Cinemas fan. *eats cheese popcorn*
What is the most annoying thing in Sathyam Cinemas/Inox?
People competing for the pop-corn condiments like its their last day on the planet and a remorseless display of greed at the condiments table - fellow movie goers want to evenly distribute the cheese / sour cream and onion / barbeque dressings on their popcorn and they will go to great lengths to ensure this happens.How ? In addition to shaking their pop-corn bags so that the condiments reach the lowest depths of their popcorn, a new 'technique' is to cover the mouth of the bag with tissue paper so that the shaking action does not send anything thats meant to be inside the bag out. Also, vigourous shaking of the condiment dispenser sometimes dislodges the lid and sends an avalanche of condiments into the pop-corn bag making it super spicy (much to the delight of the movie goer though this mistake is often acknowledged by a sheepish look - the reaction is two pronged). This however only happens at Satyam - the dispensers at Escape are much cooler and require a push of a lever that delighfully sends a controlled amount of condiments into the popcorn bag.
When would the bookings for movies on weekends open on bookmyshow?
Well a big fan of First Day First shows, this question has troubled me for a long time, it took some time & also some inside understanding of the systems working to figure out that there is no one answer or one specific day that the bookings open.Just to elaborate, since the BMS is not the owner of the inventory here but just a vendor, hence the day on which the weekend tickets open for sale is decided by the Cinemas. Every Cinema has access to a portal of sorts (to say in easy terms) using which they fill out the details of the running & new release movies along with their show-timings, ticket prices, etc. This data is then reflect on the website.It’s in this process that the cinemas decide of how many days in advance do they want to open a show’s bookings. It’s mostly a fixed day & very rarely do they differ from it, so you more or less have to guess the day for your favourite cinemas.As it is in my case, I live in Pune, here all the Esquare theater bookings open on Monday or Tuesday, INOX,PVR on Tues/Wed & by Thursday all of them start showing listings for the weekend.The only deviation I have noticed is sometimes cinemas are unsure of the audience response to a movie, so they open Sunday shows a little later, it generally happens for the next week’s show-timings but sometimes for Sundays too.I hope it answered your question related to the system, but for your local cinemas what I’ll suggest is, monitor your favourite theater’s listings for a couple of weeks & you will easily figure out the day they open the bookings & from then just login on that day of the week & book your tickets.

Thanks for A2A…The only possible to way to book tickets at Brookefields is Movie show times, buy tickets online. Am afraid that there is no other possible mode for booking.Additionally on spicinemas website you could book your snacks also..Which is an added advantage.:D Hope it helps..
Is the thursday Blind date show at sathyam good?
As the name suggest, in blind date you don't know which movie you gonna watch until it starts, most of the times they screen movies which are going to release on next firday, some time it surprises you with some big movies and some times you might get disappointed.When I tried the blind date for the first time, they screened an animation movie by name tangled, this is my first animation movie at theatres, I loved them and started visiting theatres for animation movies too.A date with some one is also on the same lines right, you go for a date with them if you like them you end being a couple and happy life, same thing happened here with me too, now I watch and enjoy a lot of animation movies, thanks sathyam for your brilliant concept called Blind Date!

It is undoubtedly Sathyam theatres. , actually I would rate sathyam theatres as the best in India.
