I don't know if you actually wanted an honest answer to that question, but you're going to get one. In fact, there might be more truth to your question than you know. You probably have aphids, that is what the ants are after. You plant isn't in danger from the ants. But the aphids can harm them. The good new is that the aphids are easy to get rid of. Check under the leaves for tiny little clear or white bugs. If you find aphids you can get a spray bottle and fill with water and add several drops about 10, of dish detergent, shake and spray make sure you spray under the leaves. When the aphids are gone the ants will leave. Keep and eye on the plant after you don't see any ants for a couple of weeks it should be fine. Why are all the nastiest animals in Australia?
Because we don't live around them.. I've never seen a box jellyfish, a great white shark, crocodiles, etc etc. Spiders don't hurt you if you don't stick your hand down a spider hole, or put your genitals onto a spider's web. Snakes ARE more scared of you than you are of them. If you make a lot of noise when you are in the bush, they'll run off. Just don't try and find a snake nest. We have shark nets, obviously, so none get anywhere near you unless you go looking for them out to sea. You'd have a better chance of being bitten by a person than an animal in Australia. Unless you're doing something stupid, you won't be hurt.
I found spiderweb looking stuff on my gardenia house plant.Does anyone know what this is?
Might be spiders. It also very well might be spider mites. Look on the underside of the leaves with a magnifying glass. If you see some little tiny fellas moving around, you probably have mites. There's a few ways to get rid of them. Start with dousing the plant with soapy water. Do that a couple of times a week for a couple of weeks and that should put a crimp on their lifestyle. Horticultural soap or oil also works well on mites.
My family is lazy and now my house is messy and dirty w/damaged furniture...HELP!!!?
Talk to your family about how you want them to clean up more, how you're embarrassed about how you live and maybe they'll help out a little, you should tell your family how you think everybody should take on at least one chore lazy or not. You don't know many kids your age that gets upset over a messy house, and that's good. You should also tell them how you want friends over but you want to have a clean house.

Frankly, I don't think Santorum will make it into the Oval Office. And as a Canadian, I'd rather not live next to a nuclear-armed theocracy. That's where you would see the real difference between our two countries. Canada is a secular nation. Most of us roll our eyes at the right wing religious types who vie for power in the States, and we joke about them over beers. But make no mistake...none of us want to see them make it into the White House. Religious fanatics are dangerous no matter which flavor of God they worship.

Let us not forget that termites, are a natural part of our soil!!! Termites will be found around a food source which will be wood in your planter or the roots, the wood frame of your home or the stump or branches of nearby trees. It will be important to know which situation applies to your environment. Be cautious with treated wood in your garden. Even though there has been a lot of progress in the chemicals used to treat wood, I think it is a safer bet to use wood that is more resistant to termites rather than use a chemical that can possible leach into the soil and then be absorbed by our garden plants. According to UCI Davis, “There are no reliable over-the-counter termite control products available for the public in California; all effective products are for professional use only.” Even if you do use treated lumber, a subterranean can build their shelter tubes over chemically treated wood and infest untreated wood above it. Even the manufactures of the chemically treated wood advise that you do not use this product in a garden setting where you are growing food to eat!!! A better alternative would be to use a wood that is naturally resistant to termites such as cedar or redwood, the heartwoods are very resistant to weather and insect degradation. If you already have a supply of pressure treated wood and want to minimize any contamination, your best course of action will be to either apply a penetrating oil finish to the wood and/or use a heavy-duty liner. I think the pond liner idea will work the best to cover the lumber since it has been used successfully in numerous ponds and the fish do not seem to be affected by it.

I can not, but I'm sure there are some that do that...just not as many as liberals. Clinton was impeached for perjury. The perjury (lying under oath) is a felony. Although he was not stripped of his office, he did have to suffer punishment from the bar for committing this perjury. He was censured and banned from practicing law.
