When Will Doctors Agree About Meat Consumption

Will my body reject meat after one year of vegetarian?

So I'm planning in being a vegetarian for a year, so far it's been 2 months. And after the one year vegetarian thing is over the next day I plan to eat meat. I'm worried if my body will reject the meat and get me sick because it's not used to meat anymore. Please help!

So I completely agree that vedas prohibited meat consumption and all the hymns and mantras related to meat are misunderstood but still why innocent animals were killed in the name of hunting at that time?

As we are humans …So we have a passion also as show off also…. Right now some of passion is Engineering , Doctor and teaching ,etc.At that time they is only one passion that is become a warrior and participate to war.So to become a warrior they have to hunting the animals ( for practicing ) as in Mahabharata there is many example were warriors showing there talent on animals .Some of example are :1 . Focus is the best example is given by my friend from Mahabharata …have u read about the story of bird eye where drona ask Arjun what u seen Arjun . … in reply Arjun say guru Dev i just see the eye of bird or nothing else….2. When Karan complete his training from Parshuram . He was practicing * at the forest to killing the deer but unfortunately he killed cow calf …At Mahabharata u can read ….*At practicing time his eyes was closed n he was shotting the arrow from only hearing….

Can you eat Spam whilst on the Atkins Diet?

Technically, yes. However, if you read the book you will find Dr. Atkins did not approve of processed meats like lunchmeat and SPAM. They were suggested for occasional use only.

What's wrong with eating pork?

Everybody tells me eating pork is wrong or bad for some reason. But why??? I love ham & cheese sandwiches, pork bacon, ham-hocks, pork chops, and ham during Thanksgiving and Christmas. What is the big deal about eating pork when it tastes delicious!

Why do vegans spread propaganda lies about meat?

we're going into philosophy rather than food, but i agree.

my view is simple and practical - human beings are omnivores, and have eaten meat as far back in history as can be traced - we eat (and have always eaten) both animal and non-animal food. you can see that from our teeth.
the only argument for vegetarianism is ethical, and the arguments supporting that are sometimes compelling, but they are also easily distorted and / or exaggerated. people get wrapped up in dogma, and can become extremist.

Do you agree with the government's decision regarding a beef ban? Why or why not?

What is the basis of the ban?Our government is pretty separate from religion. To each his own. Hindu culture is not eating cows. Muslims culturally do eat cows. And non-religious can eat whatever the heck they want. There is no scope for enforcing ban based on culture. You can't impose one's culture on another.I think the basis must have been religious sentiments protected by the likes of section 295a. This is misusing the law. You can't claim being offended if someone somewhere eats a cow- that's just silly. You could claim the deaths of holy cows is offensive to you. Well, news flash: diary industry is guilty of mistreating cows too. Offense to cows has always been going on.I m beginning to think this is a right wing agenda to assert superiority over muslims. Or a straightforward vote bank move. Because no other angle makes sense. Bottomline: Dishonest calculated move shrouded in the cloak of religion/culture. Not unusual. No one cares about issues of pressing need. They just want to remain in power.

Why do Americans eat meat and other junk food?

In the USA too many people are eating meat for my liking.

For breakfast they are starting the day with bacon, scrambled eggs and pancakes.

Also fried chicken, hamburgers, spaghetti and meatballs, apple pie, ice cream and cake are still popular.

When will America become vegan? In Europe veganism is the norm.

Would you as a vegetarian/ vegan consider eating animal products/meat again if your health depended on it?

How would my health actually depend on it?No, really? You don’t need “meat”, per se. You need nutrients. If you need B12, there’s a supplement for that, or fortified foods. If you need iron, that’s in plants. If for some reason you actually need heme iron, there’s now a plant-based source in the Impossible Burger. If you need calcium, the plant kingdom is a far better source than dairy. On literally every single measure, I can get every single nutrient from meat that is essential for life from an alternate source. What do I need from animal products?Cholesterol?Protein clinically proven to stress my liver and raise my IGF-1, that’s labeled as a carcinogen by the World Health Organization? In all my years of going to the doctor not once, not a single time, did he say to me: “You need to eat more red meat and please be sure to get enough cheese in your diet.”He told me to eat more vegetables. If you want to go to a hypothetical survival situation, I dunno…would you eat your best friend to survive, if there was no other source of food?See what I did there?
