When Is my package coming usps?
Ok so exaclty one week ago i ordered a phone off ebay and it has a tracking number but on the website it says that the package is still in Processed at USPS Origin Sort Facility May 02, 2012, 2:33 am JERSEY CITY, NJ 07097 The expected delivery date was supposed to be today but i haven't recieved SHAT did it get lost or what?!!

I ordered a copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone from Amazon, but not from them, from ---SuperBookDeals. I ordered it last Wednesday (May 23) and it shipped that same day or early May 24. It's being shipped with Standard Shipping, but there was the weekend and Memorial Day which it probably wasn't handled. The estimated delivery day is anywhere between tomorrow (May 31) and June 15. It's probably coming with mail (USPS), but it might be UPS or OnTrac. I know it's probably within the estimated delivery date, but when in there? When do you think it will come?

I bought a package online and I bought it last Friday. On Tuesday I got my tracking number and it said a bunch of stuff (I'll post the tracking number soon) it said this morning that the Package arrived at the USPS Sorting Facility at 2 In the Morning. When will my package come? Here is the tracking number. Where is my USPS package?
It is 10:50 and i have not received my package, even though the status today was "Out for delivery at 9:50". This has never happened before. Every time i have tracked something and it was out for delivery it came the same day. What might have happened to my package? Could it be lost? Could the mail man have forgotten to deliver it with my letters, because my normal mail came today? Any chance the guy is so late he is still out at 10:55? I live in Brooklyn N.Y. by the way, so i get the mail man that walks and a mail truck for bigger packages.

Transit time will be 2 days. Go to http://www.usps.com > click on "track and confirm" and copy/paste the tracking # they provided you into the box. Transit time begins when they turn the package over to the post office. With the tracking info, you will know USPS has it because at that point, the status changes to "Acceptance" What happens is: 1. When the company prints the shipping label, the tracking number is generated. The tracking status is "Electronic Shipping Info Received", which means that the shipping label has been printed but the package has not yet been taken turned over to the post office. 2. Once the package is turned over by the company to the post office, the status changes to "Acceptance" meaning the package has been accepted by USPS. 3. There will be a "Processed through USPS Sort Facility" status for the regional post office the package goes through when leaving the sender's state and another "Processed through USPS Sort Facility" status when it arrives in your region. 4. Once the post office in your city receives the package, the status will change to "Arrival at Post Office" 5. Once it is sorted, the status changes to "Sorting Complete" 6. Once it is placed on the truck for delivery, the status changes to "Out for Delivery" 7. Once it is delivered, the status changes to "Delivered" You will receive the package 2 business days from the date the status changed to "Acceptance", which is the date the sender turned the package over to the postal service. Unfortunately, sometimes you will purchase from companies who will print a shipping label but not turn the package over to USPS for several days.

Depends on your location, some places have two or more different delivery people. For example I have a regular mail carrier walking a route delivering letters and magazines sized items, and a truck carrier for larger packages, and sometimes an express mail delivery driver just for urgent stuffs. So it’s still possible your item might still show up same day.
Unless you or the sender specifically requested that a signature happen at time of delivery, then a carrier will leave the package on your doorstep.There are certain situations that could result in the carrier taking the package back and leaving you a notice in your mailbox:The area is unsafe. If there are hazards that increase risk of injury to carrier.Dogs. I can confidently say that if there is a dog on the property, a carrier may more than likely not deliver. If they aren't familiar with the dog, most carriers don't like to take chances. It's no wives tale when you hear about dogs not liking mailmen.Weather. If the porch is not covered and there is no other secure and obvious location to put the package, then the carrier may take the package back and try again the next day. Some carriers go the extra mile and will put packages in plastic garbage bags and leave it by the door.Area has lots of activity. Carriers may decide to not let the package sit out in the open where a lot of people go through.There may be other instances I haven't included but it always comes back to carrier discretion. If the carrier doesn't feel like it's in either their best interest and/or the customer’s, they have the discretion to not deliver. If you feel you could fall into one of these categories, you can always talk to the carrier on your route to accommodate making sure your package gets to you.
