Will the Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500) get the Android 5.0 update?
Samsung is very slow in delivering updates for their devices, every other mobile manufactures have announced that some of their flagship devices are gonna get an update in coming 90 days but Samsung is still under cover.Let's hope that Samsung devices get an OTA in the same time.Or else you can root and install a custom ROM that will be an better option.

Hi,I am assuming that you updated S4 with Samsung Official update ( your phone is NOT rooted).Take backup of your contacts and other important data of your phone using Kies or other backup tool. (do not backup apps)Do a Factory Reset by going to Settings > Backup & Reset.After First boot check for Software updates, if available apply updates.If you still face same problem I will advice you to visit Samsung Care Centre near your location.
