When You Go To School By Bus Does It Harm Your Mind To Concentrate On Study

How do students manage to work full time and attend school full time?

I tried to once, ended up dropping a class (also had intentions of not coming back)
During that annoyingly frustrating semester I happened to attend classes on the days I did not work and took 4 classes, each back to back

The only "off" day I had was Sunday, which was a lost cause since had to spend most of the time cleaning, laundry and other things. I did not have internet access at home

By the time the 3rd or 4th week rolled around, I pulled all nighters to work on a college paper, I had yawning fits (sorry if contagious) and therefore I dropped English 101

So what do you do? Is it because work and school are relatively close by?
How do you find time to study, to write papers
Do you take classes online? Do you have computer with internet access at home?
Do you have other people help you out with the day to day things (cause I certainly don't and I have to do everything on the bus)
How do you find time to eat, bathe and sleep (god, I hope you keep clean, bad smell is offensive) and not going to sleep can put you in a state of well, drowsiness

Hey, if you tried this and couldn't manage... cut hours at work or dropped a class, please let me know. I just happen to think that this is close to impossible

(by the way, though I still work full time, I only attend school part time. Oh, and I take summers off from school)

How do you keep focus on studies when your parents are abusive at home?

Jamie has a great answer! In fact I would encourage you to reread it… and take heed to the advice.A couple of other things I hope you would consider too… is that you do not have to repeat their behavior when you have your own family some day. I am not saying you will, oh no! Because I can tell that you are very bright… but lots of people have a tendency to do what is familiar to them. And what parents do becomes what is most familiar to their kids…Secondly, you can do something about their behavior. Here is an organization that you can talk with and they can give you the resources to help. Click on the link for their phone number…Childhelp A Non-Profit Charity Aiding Victims of Child AbuseLastly, please remember that what your parents do to you means something about them, not you! You are not bad, they are!… and even if you are making some mistakes, no matter how many a young person makes, they never deserve abuse. Never! Please take care…

How does the distance of the home from the school effect a school student?

The school being far or close to the home definitely affects the student in many ways. And there are pros and cons for everything. For the student living far from the school, the long commute everyday is physically and mentally tiring for the student. And as a result it’s harder for him or her to focus on studying after he or she gets home. Their lifestyle is usually more hectic because of the travel. Most, if not all school related events are actually near the school so the student has to travel to attend all that, too. But then the student is more familiarised with public transport and traveling long distances. He or she may utilise this traveling time in many other ways, such as reading a book, studying, listening to music and relaxing. These students learn to manage their time better than their peers who live closer to the school. They also get well acquainted with the roads and the general geography of the area. Then there are the ones who live closer to the school. They are usually better connected to school and it’s events because as I said earlier, most, if not all school related events happen near the school. And because of the small distance, they’re more up to date with it. Also, maximum students who attend a particular school, live close to it, so they’re better connected with each other compared to the folks who live away and therefore tend to have more contacts and more connections. They are also more likely to become popular in school because they know a lot of people. They also are mentally more relaxed because they have a lot of time on their hands and they don’t necessarily have to deal with traveling. But they only get acquainted with their general area and they may not know the geography of other areas. They also have more difficulties with public transport as compared to the folks who live away. They don’t necessarily develop the time management skills like their peers who live far away. (Note that we’re only talking about the differences in qualities with respect to distance from school and everyone’s personality can be different and may not be the same as how I described here)thanks for reading :)

How can i get in the mood for studying?

I dont get into the mood, I just start studying and the mood automatically comes to me, if you know what I mean.

How do I stay after school longer to study everyday? How to sit still, calm down, and get in to my state?

This week is my third week of summer college classes. Four more weeks to go. I started out strong, but my study habits are not very good recently. For a week I've been going home early thinking I could study at home, but I never do. Home is not a good place to study, so I need to stay at school after classes to study. On Mondays and Wednesdays I have 5-7 hours of free time to study after class until the last bus comes, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays I have at least 4 hours, enough to read most of a chapter of my textbook. Recently I did minimal studying for Development Across the Life Span, and no matter what motivation I think to myself I still don't get down to many hours of studying that is required of the class. I seem to be stressed out about the textbook and think it a chore. I have 100% on my first quiz, but I'm not totally confident about future quizzes. How would you make yourself stay at school longer to study everyday? I can't seem to sit still and just want to go home. Plus I could also go to McDonald's and study if I want to catch the last bus and ride there and then wait for my stepdad go give me a ride home at 11 P.M.. But I just need to sit still and have some kind of perseverance. I mean, my concentration is pretty good, and it doesn't hurt me like it used to when I read. Concentration has improved magically through positive thinking, but I just need to sit still and calm myself and use my concentration to my advantage. How to calm down?
