Can u put dayz stand alone on a flash drive and play on any computer without downloaoding it on steam?
Im asking because my college has great computers and i wanna play on them but they erase everything every night. so instead of redownloading it everytime i wanna play i thought why wouldnt i be able to put it on a flashdrive. any feed back is much appreciated. thanks!!!!!!!!
Arma 2 Dayz Mod Help!?
I used to use Dayz Commander, but about a week ago every time I tried to use it nothing would pop up, except for the server in my favorites, but it has 10000 ping, I tried re downloading it, but that didn't work so I just said screw it and downloaded Dayz Launcher. When it finished downloading I opened it up and everything looked fine, all of the servers were there, but a lot of them had 9999 ping, I thought it was because most of them were far away from where I live (because that is what the internet said) so I went ahead and downloaded dayz and epoch plus a couple more because why not. The servers wouldn't work but it was because I didn't enable the expansions, after that I went to check on the mods and they said corrupted so I re downloaded them and it said they were fine, after that I went to play on a server, it worked fine at first but every server I click on I either just get instantly get kicked, it says the server is full even if it's not, or it just loads the server forever. Please help me this was my favorite game and I'm really mad I cant play it. I'm sorry it was so long I just wanted to give every detail so someone can help me.
Why am I stuck on the loading screen in DayZ?
When ever I go into a server on DayZ, I click the OK button on the screen that shows you the server pool. Then I get to a loading screen and I just stay there at 100%. I can hear the background noises, but I can't get in the server. Why can't I get into the server? How can I fix this?
How do i make Dayz playable? -Super Laggy-?
I just downloaded dayz from steam and when i launch it i lag HORRIBLY! I mean when i click its a 10-20 second delay and its choppy, i cant even do anything. When i open notepad to try and lower some of the settings i'm missing some of the lines such as: GPU_MaxFrameAhead and GPU_DetectedFramesAhead -All my drivers seem to be up-to-date- Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G645 @ 2.90GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.9GHz Memory: 4096MB RAM Available OS Memory: 3982MB RAM Intel(R) HD Graphics
Why does Steam keep updating every time I open it? How do I fix it?
You might want to check if you've opted in to the Beta program. Open your user preferences, on the first tab (I forget what it's called), you should see a drop-down menu labeled 'Beta programs' or something similar. Change it to None if you don't want the constant updating.
Why did the game DayZ die out?
Day-Z was in development hell. It did make improvements, but even in the last six months of popularity it was a bugfest. Especially the zombies.The issue with Day-Z was there was no compunction to do anything. You could go get some weapons, or hook up with people, or terrorise the noobs, but there was no mechanic driving any of that besides the need for food and water.H1-Z1 took the concept of a open world zombie survival game and then made it into a Battle Royale. This was then distilled into Player Unknown’s: Battlegrounds and then Fortnite.The rest is history. The future is… Scum ?
Is it worth buying DayZ and why?
It's a pretty tough game, I'll tell you that. However, I would strongly recommend against it if you're not a battle-hardened person. The original community of friendlies you'd usually see whilst they were still figuring out the game are essentially gone and what's left is a bunch of pricks going around in groups of roughly 12 killing everyone they see on various servers. Your chance of joining such a group are essentially nil and my take on how to deal with them would be to avoid them entirely (quite difficult), "combat-log" (aka, disconnect! However, your character stays in-game for about 30 seconds so you'll need to find a good spot where they can't see you..) or wiping the floor with them. (Killing them all) I'm actually planning on one day to stalk that group that killed me thrice (once quite geared, and twice as a bambi, i.e. "fresh spawn".) waiting for the perfect opportunity with two machine guns and a powerful rifle all of which have multiple magazines and ample munitions to drop em'. It'll be pretty crazy but it'll bring hope back to that server as that'll forcefully bring back peace, allowing the bambies to actually get off the shore and survive. (if they want to)I have met some friendlies indeed but they've always died, me going with them to boot due to the now horridly violent zombies which as described by someone is "Mike Tyson and Usain Bolt combined". The zombies run at the same speed you do, but do eventually get tired. You at the moment, have essentially infinite stamina (your gun sway becomes rather large after enough sprinting) but upon having a zombie come right up to you, they can land roughly 3 hits every second for some reason. It would be highly advisable to avoid contact or to kill them from a distance. Close range engagements are no longer a viable method. I'll be honest - I had fun with the few friendlies I've met but the hostiles far outnumber them... probably 50 to 1. Then again, it could just be the servers I'm going to. They almost never initiate contact before spraying you with their automatic submachine gun or rifle, perhaps even semi-automatic pistol... They'll shoot and MAYBE ask questions later. They're a bunch of cold-hearted mother****ers showing their true nature in that game, I'll tell you that.
How do you get a free trial of DayZ?
There are no free trials of DayZ. The game is still in an early alpha after three years of development and is currently runny extremely badly. In my experience developers only want you to have copies of games they are proud of. I don't believe you will be sent a trial, demo, press copy or in fact any copy of the game before a final release happens. When that will be is anyones guess. There is however a very good Arma 3 mod which is essentially the same as the DayZ mod that started the DayZ craze. It is called desolation, it is also set on Chernarus but is actually working and I would say is a much better bet than the DayZ standalone.
