Which TV shows have you seen every episode of?
I was never able to regularly watch TV shows when I was at home as I did not have my own laptop. It’s not easy to follow them on Television either when you have (a little) typical Indian Parents, you know?At that time I was only able to catch up with Friends, TBBT, HIMYM, Supernatural Two and a Half Men, Glee and Dexter but was never able to watch all the episodes. What happens when a TV show films at Disney World?
I’ve been at Walt Disney World several times when TV shows were filming. In general, the production takes place in just a small part of the park and the rest of the world goes around them. Most guests will not be impacted by, or even aware, of the filming.For non-scripted or talk show productions, there may be signs posted outside the park notifying guests that they may be on camera. I’ve specifically seen this happen with the Live with Kelly Ripa show twice when they filmed at the Magic Kingdom, and with The Chew at Epcot. In these cases, the shows may include shots of random guests in the park. The talk-show type productions may also offer tickets to guests to view the filming via contest or social media promotion.I happened to be at the Magic Kingdom in August 2016 when the scripted TV show Black-ish was filming. The cast, about two dozen extras, and about two dozen crew members were in a roped off area in the central area by the flagpole, just off the park entrance. There were racks of wardrobe and large cameras everywhere. I stood by the Main Street Confectionary for about 30 minutes while they did several takes of one scene. I couldn’t hear them, but I could see they were doing the same thing repeatedly. None of the “guests” in the scene were regular park attendees, they were all extras who knew their blocking and were TV ready with makeup. The filming area was guarded by several Disney cast members who simply directed regular guests away. The camera sight lines were closely controlled, so they only recorded what was necessary. If I had not been paying attention, or if I hadn't recognized some of the Black-ish cast, I might not have known what was going on. The only real impact on the regular guest experience I saw was that several crew members made trips to the Main Street Bakery Starbucks and placed large orders, which may have made that particular line slightly longer than normal. I left the Magic Kingdom about four hours later and every sign of the previous filming was completely gone. They get in and out quickly.

The cast members have to stay close enough to the studio that they can commute there on a daily basis, while the show is being filmed. Some live in the Los Angeles area permanently; others may live in other states but will rent an apartment (or house) during filming season - and go home during hiatus. .
