Where Are These Pimples Coming From

Green puss coming out of pimples?

it's just the infection coming out. There shouldn't be anything to worry about. Wash your face several times a day and use antibiotics after you pop an area to prevent further infection.

Clear puss coming out of the pimples I pop?

Hey, I am a 13 year old girl and I just started getting acne. I have a couple pimples on my forehead and on my nose. I know it's a bad habit, but I like to try and pop pimples. However, when I do try and pop the pimples, there is no "white puss." It is only clear and not much comes out. One time, I popped a pimple and it made a noise when I popped it (DON'T ask) and white puss came out. It felt actually kinda good to pop it (again, don't ask!) Anyways, that was the only pimple where white puss actually came out and the pimple got smaller. When I try to pop the other pimples, only clear puss comes out and the pimples don't get smaller. They actually turn bigger and they turn red! And the redness doesn't go away for like a week! (One time, I actually got a scar from squeezing out all the clear puss too hard and making it bleed. The scar went away after 2 weeks.)

Anyway, can anyone tell me what this "clear puss" is and why it is not white? Also, can someone tell me how to get the white puss out?

Thanks!

What does green pus coming out of pimples mean?

Firstly, understand which type of skin inflammation you are having-There are 4 types of pimple stages-PapulePustuleNoduleCystLet the diagrams explain everything:Papules when large in number makes your skin like a sand paper as shown below. They are red in colour without any pus.But your case seems to be the second one where the problem was getting bigger and the bacteria were rising in number so to fight them white blood cells have joined the battle. The green thing coming out is the mix of ‘blood’ that has been shed during the fight between bacteria and WBC along with some dead skin cells too.A great fight at microscopic level. Now do tell me how are you feeling after knowing there are numerous such fights going on in our body?Take care!

When do pimples stop coming?

Hi, since you are asking this question I can assume that you are suffering from this problem for a very long time. I have searched for this answer for a long time. There is no definite age when acne stops. There are some lucky few for whom its just a teenage phase 2 or 3 years.  I had acne for 10 years. They have not gone completely but the condition has improved a lot. It depends upon the condition of your acne. if you have mild acne they will go  and you will have clear skin in 3 to 4 years. (I am telling you the average time span). However if you had severe acne they will take 9 to 10 years and they will leave scars, open pores and pigmented skin. The good thing is they are gonna go. The only thing you can do is adopt a good skin care routine. I can give you certain advises. I hope they help.Wash your face twice preferably with a tea tree oil face wash. if you have severe acne you can use besan (Gram flour) to wash your face. It is very effective. I have used it for a year. It will clear your skin in a month.Do apply a toner. Having acne for a long time eaves your pores open leading to pigmentation and whiteheads. Apply toner after washing your face and before applying moisturiser. Choose a toner which does not have oil in it. I use Neutrogena Fine Fairness Toner.Use a gel based cream as moisturiser. Cream based moisturiser can be nighmare for acne prone skin. Patanjali Aloe Vera Gel can be an effective moisturiser.s of acne. You can use lemon curd and gram flour pack to fight the bad effects of acne. it rejuvenates the skin. Use it twice a week.Have triphala daily in the night 2 hour after having lunch. This thing helped me. I hope they suit you too. Acne can lower your self confidence and make you feel really bad about yourself but it is just a temporary problem. Don't let it get over your head.

What does it mean if you pop a pimple and blood comes out of it?

Blood-filled pimples are most commonly caused by a condition called cystic acne. Cystic acne occurs when facial hair follicles become clogged and fill with blood and pus, says Proactiv. The hormone androgen, which increases during the teen years, contributes to the formation of cystic acne.Cystic acne happens when a bacterial infection occurs deep in the skin. The infection causes large, red, painful bumps or nodules to form deep under the surface of the skin. The outermost layer of the nodule is filled with blood, with a layer of pus underneath. Cystic acne is hereditary and is most common in young men, although women get it as well, notes WebMD.Never attempt to pop blood-filled pimples caused by cystic acne, advises Proactiv. If the pimples are popped, the bacterial infection may spread to the rest of the face, causing further breakouts. Cystic acne is the most severe form of acne, and it requires immediate dermatological treatment, explains WebMD. If left untreated, cystic acne can cause deep scarring and disfigurement. The most commonly prescribed treatments for cystic acne include oral antibiotics, prescription-strength topical creams or gels, isotretinoin pills, and birth control pills, which regulate the hormones of women who suffer from cystic acne.

When you pop a pimple, whats that white stuff coming out?

A pimple is an infection which the body generates a stuff called puss to fight it. For a long time it was thought that puss was the actual stuff of the infection, now we know better.

Puss is created when the bodies’ immune system attacks the infection. What you see are live bacteria cells surrounded by white corpuscles, T cells and other substances that the body generates to fight the infection.

When you drain a pimple you are removing both some of the infection and some of the bodies support systems that fight it. Of course you body can replace them, and the bacteria still under your skin can still breed.

Pimples are caused by dead skin cells that get stuck in small cavities like blemishes and pores in your skin, even hair follicles.

According to Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pimples
“A pimple is a result of a blockage of the skin's pore.
Inside the pore are sebaceous glands which produce sticky sebum. When the outer layers of skin shed (as it does continuously), the dead skin cells left behind may become 'glued' together by the sticky sebum. This causes a blockage in the pore. The sebaceous glands produce more sebum which builds up behind the blockage, and this sebum harbours bacteria (P.Acnes bacteria). Since the body's natural defence against bacteria is primarily phagocytes (white blood cells), these rush to the site behind the blockage (where the bacteria are). This is what gives some pimples the 'whiteheads' (unless the Phagocytes are deeper in the skin, which means you can't see the 'white' caused by them). The white blood cells then destroy (by phagocytosis) the bacteria to prevent infection.”

The best way to fight them is to clean your skin to remove dirt and those old skin cells before they turn into a problem.

Wikipedia continues:
“Common over-the-counter medications for pimples are Benzoyl peroxide and/or salicylic acid. Both medications can be found in many creams and gels used to treat acne through topical application. Both medications help skin slough off easier, which helps to remove bacteria faster. A regimen of keeping the affected skin area clean plus the regular application of these topical medications is usually enough to keep acne under control, if not at bay altogether. 1-2% of the population is allergic to Benzoyl peroxide treatments.”
