Where Can A 14 Yr. Old Get A Job

How can a 14 year old get a job ?

You can check hireteen.com. They tell you lots of places that hire teens. You can even search by age. But it's going to be really hard. Well, at least it is where I live. So many adults are taking jobs that teens usually have. As for baby sitting... Just try to get to know the people in your town. AMC and Rita's hire 14 year olds. And it's always best to try to apply in person, so they can see what kind of person you are and whatnot. You also have to have a work permit. I'm 16 (the legal age to work) and I'm still having trouble finding a job.

Good luck,
Help I helped!

How and should I get a job at 14 years old?

I think it's a great idea. Any kind of job that a kid can get, make money, learn responsibility, and how to keep the job, is a great primer for what's coming up in a few short years. When I was 14, I had a paper route. The only legal jobs that I could get at 14 was farm work. I picked tobacco for a Summer, and 33 years later, that was still my hardest job.Since I wasn't a big fan of that work, I went around town looking for an under the table job That I could get. A restaurant owner hired me as a dishwasher and paid me cash off the books.I loved the fact that I always had cash in my pocket, I could set goals with saving my money for big things, and it all set me up with a solid work ethic for when I hit the labor force full time.Any kind of job you can get and keep at 14 is worthwhile and will help you grow. What's also really great is if you can figure out how to be entrepreneurial and make money with a service you provide, or buy and sell stuff that you can make a nice profit on.There's lots of lessons about life in all of it, and I definitely encourage any and all of it for a 14 year old.Just make sure you keep your studies up at the same time.

What job can a 14 year old girl get?

I have nothing but admiration and respect for you. Why?Because where most youngsters and teenagers are thinking about impressing their friends or going out for movies or dates, you are actually thinking about working.Seriously - if I was an employer - I would have offered you an internship straight away. However, I am not. So all I can do is not only congratulate you for your drive and desire to work - I hope through the few lines I write, they give you the necessary ideas what to do next. Now being 14 years old can be a challenge - especially where getting a job is concerned. And what makes it hard is the fact that:Not many potential employers would take you seriouslyNot many potential employers would feel that you would add much value to their organizationNot many potential employers would want to take the risk of employing someone so young as anything can (or may) happen which would prove to be a risk. And given the fact that it can be risky for you to hunt for a job by yourself (I mean it as a Father Figure - trust me - there are some crazy people out there - so please do take care of yourself)So in such a scenario, the best solution would be:Ask your parents, elders or relatives to help you find a jobSeek references through your elders, parents, relatives to help you land a good intern jobAsk through your networks to offer you opportunities to work and learnCheck around in your local neighborhood what all opportunities are available to youHave a mindset where the money is not important - rather the learning experience and skills you pick up is. And whatever you learn or whatever job you do start off with - will be a bonus later on in your life. Before I conclude, there is something I would like to share with you.I began my career as a Toilet Cleaner with no hope and no future. I honestly didn’t know what I would do and no one who knew me had any hopes for me or my future. Today I am one of the best in my industry and I earn enough where I lead a good life.So if someone as dumb and talent-less as me could do it - I believe you can do so much more.I want to conclude stating that having a growth and learning mindset like your is a recipe for success - and this is what we need in today’s generation. I have always told people - Hard Work trumps Talent any day. And for someone who is as enterprising as you are - I believe thought your discipline, dedication and desire to work - you will eventually reach the top.All the very best my dear.Loy Machedo

Where can a 14 year old get a job in toronto?

I remember how hard it was for me to find a job when I was 14... the best advice I can give you is to present yourself to potential employers in a way that makes you look mature for your age.

First, if you don't have one already, get a SIN card. You need one to legally work in Canada.

http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/en/sc/sin/

At 14, you are legally able to work in places like health care establishments, libraries, museums, golf courses, schools, offices, stores (but not in shipping and receiving areas), arenas, and restaurant serving areas (but not the kitchen). But be aware that some workplaces set their own minimum age requirements.

If you just want to work occasionally, instead of a few days every week, you can look into becoming an "extra" for film and commercial shoots.

Now is a good time to look for seasonal work at stores, because they're all hiring for the Christmas season and there is a labour shortage in retail. Try to choose a store where you have knowledge about the products. If you're really into video games, try getting a job at EB or in the electronics department of a store like Zellers... If you're into sports, try SportChek or somewhere like that. Make sure you let them know how knowledgeable you are about their products in your resume and cover letter.

Stay away from telemarketing and sales jobs that could be a scam. Sometimes con artists will try to get younger people to work for them selling magazines or candy for "charity"... these jobs don't pay well, if you get paid at all.

Just hand out your resume to as many places as you can. The more you hand out, the better your chances are of getting an interview and a job.

What are some good jobs for a 14 year old in The USA?

Best thing I can tell you is do what you can in your neighborhood. Lawnwork, go to neighbors about pulling weeds, cutting branches, cutting trees down, yard cutting, raking, car washing, helping them move around furniture. If you live in like NYC without any yards around, sorry man. This is what I did since I was 14. By the time I was 16, i had over 13 regular grass customers as well as so many more customers doing other stuff, and I had 2 friends who worked for me which I paid them 10 an hour. I was busy, but very friendly and professional. I started out by saying, I charge what you think my work is worth. Many people respected my approach and mostly overpaid me for that. They seen how attentive and hard working I was.

What jobs can a 14-year-old Saudi get in Saudi Arabia over the summer break?

Simply, any job that you can find. Set a deadline for yourself to get a job; like say to yourself, “by the next week today I MUST know where I’ll be working.” This way, you would look for different opportunities and know your options and regardless of you liking them or not, you will have to choose. Because, I suppose there aren’t as many opportunities for your case and that you might have a high expectation of what you will be doing which often, as the result, makes people do not do anything at all. Ask around from your friends and family members also search online for job agency websites (if there are such websites in Saudi Arabia). But whatever that you do, it shouldn’t make you feel totally comfortable doing it, it should feel challenging and uncomfortable, something that makes you alert doing. Because that’s how you learn valuable new skills. If there are any opportunities that your school sponsors in the field that you are interested in then those are the the best things you can do even if you don't get paid.If there is nothing in your field of interest then look for anything else that seems more legitimate and recognise. For example, you would wanna go somewhere that has more strict regulations and employer and not somewhere that nobody checks on you and have any expectations from you.
