Where Can I Advertise My Uk Tv Site

Why does The BBC website have too many advertising pop-ups?

Why does The BBC website have too many advertising pop-ups?The BBC is funded in the UK by a levy on every household, taxation, therefore does not need advertising to fund production and broadcasting costs, hence in the UK, the BBC TV broadcasting, & website is free of advertising.Unless your computer has malware presenting pop ups on whatever page you are viewing, then there are two solutions:a thorough scan with a creditable anti virus software (not the ones that do nothing and charge you, or actually install malware!),or to upgrade your operating system (pop ups are mainly a Windows computer problem) to one that the bad guys have less interest in such as installing Linux which can be installed alongside your existing operating system if your hard drive is not too full. By adding Linux to your computer you will have the choice of running Windows or Linux each time you start your computer, and typically Linux will run about 3 or 4 times faster than Windows. Alternatively, you could change your computer to an Apple Mac computer, although the bad guys are starting to take an interest in Macs, that is much much less than Windows. You will almost certainly find a far better computer experience (though it may take a while to become familiar with the new operating system) by moving away from Windows, IBM for example offer employees the choice of Windows or Apple Mac at computer renewal with 75% choosing a Mac at that time, they report that based on 90 000 Mac users out of 440 000 employees that each employee choosing a Mac saves the company up to $530 over the computer lifetime, I guess that were they to offer Linux, the saving would be a bit less, maybe half of the saving from going to a Mac (run Mac OS, 2 versions of Linux, & Windows computers here..)?If you are viewing the BBC website outside of the UK, then the BBC is a commercial publisher outside the UK, and I guess that there will therefore be some form of advertising, although I would guess that as the BBC aims to maintain very high standards in the UK, then that advertising would be as discrete as possible whist maintaining an income, however I have not used the BBC website outside the UK…. That to me would suggest that you have a problem with your computer…

Is there a website like IMDB for commercials and advertisements, on television or otherwise?

I’m a bit surprised no one has mentioned the site that professionals in the industry use more than any other.SourceCreative (Source Creative): This subscription-based combination of the former Source Maythenyi and ECreativeSearch is one of the most complete databases of commercial credits available. Unlike ispot, which tends to only list the ad and key actors, SourceCreative often has fairly complete credits for ad agency, production company, and post-production participants. It’s a great resource, even though it charges a (some would say too high) fee.Another fairly extensive resource that no one has mentioned, that at least offers some of its information without charge (and additional information for subscribers), is the twin sites:Coloribus (Advertising Archive. Commercials database.)Advertolog (Adverts & TV Commercials database).(The two sites actually run off the same database, and tend to mirror each other’s content for most things.)I also agree with some of the mentions already made, likeAdforum(The best and largest global advertising agency directory & creative library - AdForum)Ads of the World (Ads of the World™)iSpot Real-time TV Ad Analytics (Real-time TV Ad Analytics). However, most of the others people have mentioned in their answers aren’t intended to be encyclopedic listings, as IMDB is for film. They’re more curated sites, intended to highlight especially good or notable ads, and give them recognition.

In the UK we have TV ads on ITV every 25 minutes or so. I have heard in US it is more like every 10 minutes. Is this right and how do you feel about it?

You’re kidding, right? Seriously? You only have ads every 20 to 25 minutes? That would be HEAVEN!10 minutes between commercials was the norm maybe 20 years ago. These days it’s more like every 7 to 8 minutes. That’s why binge-watching has become so prevalent in the US.In the early to mid 90’s. it was a thing to host parties to watch weekly episodes of certain tv shows. I recall the dorm lounge being packed every Wednesday so we could watch 90210 and Melrose Place. If you wanted a couch seat, you’d have to arrive at least 10 minutes early. Later it was Friends and ER or X Files. You hated the end of each episode and talked about episodes each week, waiting until Wednesday or Must See Thursday rolled around again. Cliff hangers were horrid!Nowadays, we binge-watch so we don’t have to wait to see what happens next. But we also binge-watch to stop having to see ads. A half hour tv show will have at least three commercial breaks. An hour show will have 6 or 7, with the one in the very middle lasting longer than the rest. And the number of commercials shown is also larger than it used to be. If you look at the length of episodes on Netflix or Amazon Prime, an hour long show is actually anywhere from 43 to 46 minutes usually. That means the rest of the “hour” gets filled with ads.I stopped watching SNL when there were ads between each skit. You’d watch a 5 to 7 minute sketch and there was another commercial break. But if you watch it on Hulu, there are no ads at all.So yes, it’s annoying. And that’s why many have cut the cable cord and rely on Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Tubi and other options instead.

What does "Characters Welcome" mean, when they advertise a TV show?

That's USA Networks' slogan "Characters Welcome". It's in reference to their tv shows. For example, Monk is a character, the guys from Psych are characters, etc. It's just a gimmick to get you to remember the network so you'll watch their shows.

Essentials of contemporary advertising ebook?

I'm looking for a digital version of "Essentials of Contemporary Advertising" by William Arens. Any edition of the book will do, as long as its digital. I have been searching on google for a while and still can't find it, so any website that would let me download it or buy it would be great.

What crowdfunding sites automatically promote/advertise your projects on popular websites for free?

Technically… no crowdfunding platform run it this way…Normally they may post your campaign on their homepage and that would be all. It costs a lot to advertise (whatever you promote, including apps, website, products, etc.).If you insist to ask, I would suggest you to try Qfund. They recently enter US market and say they would help you advertising your campaign as long as it preform well enough. (they may need some public attention)

How to advertise my geordie phone sex line free/cheaply?

Hi all, I have started my own phone sex line, all calls are answered by genuine geordie girls, so therefore I need to advertise all over the country, (UK). I need to advertise my service but I am finding it difficult to advertise in publications and on the net cheaply as it is all costing £1000+. Can someone please help me or suggest any companies that will take over my advertising for me or sell me a package deal at a cost that won't break the bank.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
