What should you wear with a short, flowy skirt?
By a short flowy skirt I am guessing you mean a skater skirt. This was my answer to- What do you wear with a skater skirt?The thing is, a skater skirt looks great with almost anything. A jumper, a t-shirt, a cropped bustier, a denim shirt, you name it...they all look great with a skater skirt. I am going to post three of my favorite styles.I absolutely love the cropped tank and skater skirt combo. The picture shows a baggy cardigan, but I think a kimono cardigan would be even better with this outfit. Short length combat boots would be perfect.Collared blouses (sleeveless or not) are the perfect match to skater skirts. I especially love how a metallic bib necklace has been used to enhance the neckline. Oxfords and ballet flats are my favorite footwear for this style.The loose jumper and skater skirt combo is another of my favorites. I love high socks (as in the picture), or translucent tights with this. And always a necklace or a scarf to go with it. A bucket hat and ankle booties would complete the ensemble.
What should I wear with a black and white skirt?
A solid color top, shoes, and accessories would work best. If the skirt is long and billowing i.e. made with a fabric that moves more freely, I would go with a tight top. If the skirt hugs your body, I would choose a looser top. It generally good to have a 1 to 1 ratio in that regard. A kitten heel would work with either of these skirt types but some people prefer a killer stiletto or wedge depending on the setting and the season. Personally, I find a striking blue hue or a bright red to be welcome accoutrements to a black and white outfit. It adds a layer of personality. If you stick with a black or white top, you can add a scarf, clutch, and heels that match in tone. As I have long hair, I also personally enjoy the little extra pop of color by adding a scrunchy, a barrette, or a bow. I find it best to accesorize any outfit with gold jewelry but obviously that is a matter of personal preferences and what metals you find suit your skin tone. Whatever you choose, make sure it reflects your own personality! You don't want to be uncomfortable with what you're wearing just because other people tell you what works for them. Style is all about expressing yourself through little details to create an image that showcases what makes you, well, you!
How to make this mini skirt look less slutty?
I'm wearing it in summer so I don't really want to wear tights but what top and shoes should I wear to make it look less... Slutty? Wearing maxi skirt to theme park?
I would say no do to most rides are going extreme. Plus it is easier to move around in pants than anything, I did go to a theme park to and i saw this chick with a long skirt and it got tangled and that and another chick had very short skirt(<---- worst idea every) and it got ripped off while exiting a ride. So skirts are out of the question! the gladiators and tank top idea are alright, But just make sure you have and under top underneath of the tank top so it stays on better! ( I use that trick all the time!)
On a holiday abroad I'd like to wear a mini skirt instead of shorts, just a plain black tight fitting one. What sort of reaction could I expect?
That sort of depends on where overseas you’re going, but in any sort of western society the reaction is likely to be mild and momentary surprise at most.Once they figure out you’re a tourist, all they want is your money and they certainly don’t care what you’re wearing as you pay.And especially if people come there from all over, the locals probably see a huge variety of get-away-from-it-all clothing (think plaid shorts, a white belt, and a baseball cap) and pretty much grow immune to it.But I’d be careful in the Middle East, Africa, and Singapore.

How short a skirt can men get away with?
I have found that probably around 9″ - 10″ stretch mini skirts are about as short as I can go without worrying about stuff hanging out the bottom. I’ve found that a more stretchy fabric not only feels more comfortable, but with most denim skirts around the 10″ - 15″ range that things tend to bunch up on my junk when I’m standing up and sitting down so I always have to pull it down and re-adjust.A few of the stretch mini skirts that my wife and I both wear that work well for me are:This one is actually in gray and measures around 14″ in length when not wearing. The thing that I like and my wife does as well is that it doesn’t tend to ride up on either of us, and the fabric is very light and stretchy.This one also measures at around 14″ when not wearing, very comfortable as well and doesn’t tend to ride up on either of us.This one measures around 11″ and looks really small, but is also very stretchy without becoming opaque and see through. A very comfortable fabric and it tends to stay in place as well.I think this is the one my wife has…and it measures around 16″ and is one of her favorites. It is a stretchier denim material and it’s pretty comfortable, but this one tends to ride up on my junk when I sit down so I’m not as keen on it as my wife is.I’ll have to look when I get home, but the shorter stretch mini-skirts that are 9–10″ in length that actually fit me well I think are made by Apt 9 or maybe Missme, but I’d have to check. They are very stretchy and comfortable, but I have to wear panties that are the same color just to be safe. The shorter mini skirts I have only worn in public once though, but do wear around the house for the wife. I tend to like skirts in the 12″- 15″ range the best I think, because I can always pull them up a bit more to get them to fall on my legs where I want them.
