Where Can I Buy All The Batman Adventures

I want to start reading Batman comics where should I start?

I know there are lots of mini-stories and series' and different time eras. Which one would you recommend to me for someone who has never read comics before?

Also, I love the Joker. He's my favorite supervillain. I watched Batman: The Animated series as a kid and I love him and Harley Quinn. Is there a series that has a lot of the Joker in it?

What's the difference between "Batman - the Animated Series" and "The Batman?" Mature qualified answers only..

The big difference between Batman: The Animated Series (and its successors Gotham Knights and Beyond) and the Batman are the art styles and the continuity they follow. Batman: That Animated Series fit into the Animated DC Continuity that ended with Justice League Unlimited, and was a distinctive art and story style by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini. Neither are involved in the Batman.

The Batman was brought in to in a way Re-Imagine the Batman and his villains (Mainly because of the new interest in Batman after the Batman Begins Film). All of the Villains in the Batman are different looking than their counterparts from the original series. The Batman also is taking place in what would be the third year of Batman’s mission, but this series is not a part of any other Animated continuity at this time.

Of note, this series had an indirect influence on the Justice League and other DC Animated Continuity as it caused a Bat Embargo to be placed on all of the Bat Villains that were present in The Batman from appearing on at that time Justice League Unlimited.

As of this past season, the series was redefined a little, Batman’s jaw was fixed, Robin was introduced as well as Batgirl returns from last season. This season also introduced a few more elements for Fans such as a homage to “The Dark Knight Returns” comic storyline. Previous seasons were ok, but as of now this series has picked up a bit.

I love Batman! he's the best detective in the world and is an all around b.a.

Why am I collecting every issue of The Batman Adventures?

because there were many great all ages stories in the series, that were excellent representations of the character. ty temopleton dan slott kelly pucket come to mind as writers nailing the essence of the bat-world without their stories being "r" rated.

Batman: What's the order of the animated seires?

Now, I know there are many series, but I am looking to find the order of the animated Batman TV shows, movies, etc? I know there is a combination of animated series and movies.. Where do I start and where do I finish? Thanks.

What is "Batman: The Animated Series" about?

"Batman: the Animated Series" is about Gotham City during the time that Batman was active. It displays nearly all of Batman's enemies throughout the show, including The Joker, Two-Face, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, The Riddler, Catwoman, etc., but also containing a few episodes about less eccentric villains like Rupert Thorne or Carmine Falcone. Harley Quinn was first introduced in this series, in the episode "Joker's Favor." It also details Batman's relationship with the police, primarily with Commissioner Gordon and Detective Bullock. The second season was renamed as "Adventures of Batman and Robin", which had very much the same style of events occurring as the first season, but now included Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl in Batman's crusade against crime. The series shows the origin stories of Batman's adversaries and Batman himself, with either one or two episodes dedicated solely to a specific story. All in all, it's a series about Batman fighting the crime of Gotham City, big and small, with help and by himself.

Do I watch Batman Beyond after Batman: The Animated Series?

Please take note that B:TAS and Batman Beyond, alongside the JL and JLU, including Superman: TAS, all take place in the DCAU. They have nothing in common with the mainstream DC comics which are set in a separate Earth. The only commonalities that they have in between are mythology gags, homages, and references. Aside from that, they seem indistinguishable save for a few minor differences.

There are tie-in comics to the DCAU, so I suggest that you read those and not the mainstream DC. BTAS is actually the prequel to Beyond, and thus, you can watch them in that order or in any way that you prefer. It is up to you. However, you'll be watching up for a day or two if you go through all of the seasons like the New Batman Adventures. Not to mention if you add in the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited to your watchlist, you'll be up for even longer, that is, if you're really dedicated; but it is still up to you.

When it comes to the Mask of the Phantasm; yes, you should watch it. To this day, it is still considered one of the best Batman films there are, so I highly recommend it. The Mr. Freeze movie on the other hand...watch it and I'll leave that up for you to judge.

A lot of people tend to mistake that the DCAU and Mainstream DC (New Earth) are one and the same; they're not, they are two separate universes that are part of the DC Multiverse. Enjoy!
