Most of the drinking water I see on ships comes in two forms: Bottled and treated/filtered.Bottled water is the preferred option. We bring several tons of it on board each cruise. It’s what the crew drinks.The treated and filtered stuff is generally safe, depending on where you get it. I wouldn’t drink the tap water. It’s held to less of a standard that water that is specifically meant for consumption. I wouldn’t say it’s “unsafe”, but I don’t drink it. Fountains and beverage machines are tested more often, and are subject to higher levels of filtration.
