How to keep purse strap from slipping off my shoulder?
This annoys me so much. Maybe it's because I always buy a cheap purse at someplace like K-mart. But I refuse to spend big bucks on a purse, and besides, I like my purse to be small. It only needs to hold a wallet for ID and credit cards, a checkbook, some handlotion and chapstick, and maybe a small notepad and a pack of gum. There must be some way to hack my purse straps so they will stay put!! or, is there a certain design I should look for? like the style of strap or shape of purse or something??
What Is A Good Bag For High School?
I'm about to be a sophomore in high school and im not sure what backpack i should have. I'm a girl and most girls at my school wear like actual bags, not like backpacks or stuff like that. I have a Micheal Kors silver jet tote and a Latquie Adel Tote in white. I kinda like the Adel tote better but the only thing is, is that its white so its gonna get dirty quickly. And the Micheal Kors one is not like a over the shoulder, satchel kind of bag which is what i am looking for. So can anyone help me?? My limit is 200
Are messenger bags good for high school?
The only problem I see is if the messenger bag is not big enough to carry all your school stuff. It wouldn't be at my son's prep school, even though they have a copy of all the books at home. They have binders and workbooks and reading books, etc etc etc. (Ugh, his dang backpack is so heavy that I can't barely lift it! And I organize to keep it light, best binders for that, etc.) Also, a lot of messenger bags are made really cheaply and would fall apart if you carry heavy stuff. I have some really expensive messenger bags that can carry a lot, but when they're stuffed full they feel really heavy since they're just over one shoulder. You might look at www.ebags.com for ideas. Can you wear an over the shoulder bag on rollercoasters at Six Flags?
Having worked as a ride operator, I have let people get away with wearing over-the-shoulder bags on my ride. However, it is strongly recommended that you leave it in the designated area on the platform, with a non-rider, or in a locker.
When you go to the mall, what kind of purse/bag do you carry?
I always carry around an over-the-shoulder bag. I have different styles for different occasions. Most of them are small, so it's convienient to bring just my wallet, phone and lipgloss or mascara wherever I'm going. I like it, cute and simple. As for a dress, my style changes from day to day but I like sexy, classy and unique - like a little black dress covered in glittery sequins.
Pennsylvania: cars with plastic bags or shirts in driver's window?
I've been in Pennsylvania recently, and I repeatedly saw cars parked on the hard shoulder of a highway, with a plastic bag or a shirt in the window of the driver's seat. Mostly white or of another "light" colour (the shirt or bag, that is, not the car ;-) ). Anyone know why this is? I've seen two suggestions on Y! Answers. One is "I'll be right back"; the other is "My car broke down and that's the reason it's standing here". Only one of these can be right, surely? .
What are some good options for a computer-bag to wear on a blazer?
Unless you have reasons to avoid one, a handheld bag (i.e. a briefcase) sounds ideal for your situation. It's the most "grown up" option that is likely to compliment a nice blazer in the way a messenger bag never will. It won't damage your blazer, because you won't be hoisting it over your shoulder, either.A briefcase large enough to hold a 15' laptop is not hard to come by, and they're available in several price ranges and materials. Something like this is more casual, but still exudes professionalism, so it's eminently suitable to be carried with a blazer. It might look mismatched alongside a piece suit, but that's not an issue here.Those are simply suggestions, and there are many options between, depending on how polished you want to look, how durable you need the bag to be, and where you live. Here is why I recommend a handheld bag: anything carried with a strap will damage the shoulder padding of your blazer with enough repeated use: even a bag with a massively padded strap can compress the shoulder's interior layers over time to the point that the jacket starts to look wonky. A typical strap can also wear and tear at the outer fabric of the jacket rapidly, especially risky in this case given that blazers are often made of more delicate fabric than a suit or sport coat.If you care about your blazer but still need to carry the bag by the strap, try to ensure you rotate it between arms regularly. That way, if you're destroying the shoulders of the jacket, at least you'll be doing it evenly enough that the damage looks symmetrical.
