Where Can I Find Celtic Decorative Books Written Back Then

Do you recognize this symbol? It is a well-loved bracelet and I am just curious. It may be the jeweler‘s design, or is it a Celtic symbol?

I think Sh is correct, that it is a symbol of a chakra from the Hindu tradition of yoga. I confirmed this on Google Images and found this:Note the items in common:a six pointed star inside a circle12 petals outside the circuleAll the points of the star are aligned with spaces between the petals; there is not a petal above each point.Your pendant also has an outer circle. This is rare in images of the anahata, but some do have it. I suspect the jeweler added it to make the piece strong and durable.Your piece is not a Celtic knot design. The distinguishing feature of a Celtic knot is that it can be made by one piece of rope passed over and under itself, and then joined back at the end to form an endless loop. In some Celtic jewelry, the over-under markings are retained. When they are not, it can be hard to distinguish Celtic design. In this case, though, the central star being made up of two separate triangles is a good indicator that the design is not, at its core, Celtic. Here is an example of a 5-pointed star surrounded by additional decoration in the Celtic tradition. Also, for historical reasons, it would be rare to find a six-pointed star in the Celtic tradition. The Celtic design tradition pre-dates Christianity, but most of the symbols we see now are Christian. In Europe, the 5-pointed star is a Christian symbol, and the 6-pointed star is the Shield of David, a symbol from the Jewish tradition.

What to send to grandpa on first death anniversary of grandma? Ideas to make him feel happy instead of...?

Nothing will ever make him feel happy, but you can take away some of the loneliness. Send him a really nice "thinking of you" card and maybe a box of a variety of homemade cookies. Then call him and talk about the fun times you shared with him and his wife. Tell him something they did that made you feel very special, and another that made you laugh. He doesn't want to forget, he wants to remember - with someone who loves them both.

Alliteration?

What would you say about alliteration in poetry? Can we say that all words beginning with the same consonant could be referred as alliteration; meaning by that all grammatical words and articles (the); or cold we stay within the sphere of alliteration only with full lexical words?

How can Glasgow Celtic fans are more passionately noisy in the stadium than most English clubs?

Safe standing.Celtic recently implemented safe standing, which essentially allows fans to stand while watching the match. This was banned in England after 1989 Hillsborough in which 96 Liverpool supporters sadly lost their lives. However, the blame was wrongly put on the fans and stadia when it was very much on the police.Don’t worry, sides like Man Utd are considering safe standing which can bring back the atmosphere in English football.

Did Celtic people have winged helmets?

I’ve seen artistic reconstructions of winged helmets, largely from the Hallstatt period. Decorative pieces do show up in the archaeological record for that period. The helmets then were largely copies of earlier Italic patterns, with the decorations added to suit the more prestige-oriented warrior culture of the Hallstatt era. Figurines of Celtic warriors also show wings, horns, or other decorative features on some helmets. But it’s important to note that these are rare examples. Helmets in general are rare in the Hallstatt period. There are some fairly elaborate decorative helmets from the later La Tene period, but in general copying italic patterns was more common.Below, a more typical italic-style helm.
