Where Can I Find Information About Babies Of Ages 0-4

Which formula milk is the best for 0 to 6 month old babies in India?

When it comes to infant feeding Mothers Milk is the Best. Mothers milk has lots of undeniable benefits for both baby and mother. The order of choice of baby food (milk) would beMother’s Milk >> Formula >> Animal Milk ( in that order)When it comes to formula, all companies are trying to make you believe that one is better than another. But if for some reason you could not choose breastfeeding, it is pointless to try and choose among formula brands….. as all are more or less the same. All tall claims made by one brand over others are a marketing gimmick and has no proven difference to the baby. You must be knowing that its illegal to promote infant formula. But companies do it anyway in a covert manner…. Beware of that! The only Choice that matters while choosing Formula isIf your baby is full term: Choose a term formulaIf your baby is born Preterm: choose preterm formulaChoose to breastfeed. Choice of formula should be the last choice. The infographics below highlights the benefits of breastfeedingBenefits to Mothers:Benefits to Baby:True situations where mothers are not able to produce enough milk is very rare. In situations where mothers end up dropping out of breastfeeding and pick formula is mostly due to lack of lactational support. Occasionally some mother picks up formula due to some misguided choice. The first few days of breastfeeding are particularly tough especially for new mothers unless there is adequate support. They have lost of questions and apprehensions and need to find answers to common breastfeeding related questions. I personally had lots of problems during my baby's time but I was persistent and motivated and ultimately could breastfeed her exclusively for six months….. and I am so happy about it.Choose to breastfeed, its not a choice it is a responsibility. If you for whatever reason could choose to breastfeed, then any brand of formula is good enough.

What age range in children would you say is the easiest to babysit?

I would say that the 1-2 range would probably be the easiest because all the kids, that age, I habe sat for have just played on the floor the whole time and are not so little that you have to be careful to hold their head and stuff, like you can actually feel ok around them. I think that all the ages you listed are good though... kids are fun at that age!! I babysat a little 2 yr old girl all summer and had a blast, I was with her 11 hours a day, but even at the end of the summer I was still having fun with her. It's about going into it with a positive attitude. (not having spoiled kids helps though too...)
:-)

Should kids be held responsible for their actions?

A child is defined as a human being between the stages of birth and puberty so let’s give an age range of 0–12. This age range can be divided into the following groups :Ages 0–4 : In this range the child is dependent completely on other adults even for basic needs; they must be fed by an adult, they must be taught to use the toilet or they wear diapers, they must be given a bath, etc. There is a need for constant oversight.Ages 4–8 : In this range the child is considerably more independent, can handle their own food intake, use the toilet, can ride a bicycle, attend school and have friends, start displaying a distinct personality. There is still a phenomenal level of dependence on adults and can be very malleable mentally.Ages 8–12 : In this range the independence is more significant, privacy needs comes up, sports start playing a part in development, there is clear skills that can be observed. So when it come to responsibility we need to understand that kids by definition have very limited world experience and it’s quite easy to convince them of anything. So education should be goal when responsibility is relegated to kids, not to blame or punish them.

Which cerelac is good for a 4 month baby?

Hii, Generally till 6 months, only breastfeeding is required and strongly recommend by paediatricians. A four months old baby doesn't necessarily require solids. Their digestive system may not be ready to digest food . Please consult with your paediatrician once, before you start feeding solid food.If at all you are starting solid food for your 4 months old, start with just one meal per Day, start introducing food gradually, day 1: 2 spoons,Day 2: 3 spoons andby day 7: it should be a small bowl of meal.please try avoiding any store bought food as much as possible. You can give them healthy home made food such as Rice or Ragi porridge in the beginning, please consult with your paediatrician before you introduce any new food.P.S: Even the store-bought cerelac from nestle starts from 6 months of age.Happy parenting….Thanks for reading..

Eddie Bauer Bassinet?

My 4 month old daughter LOVES to sleep in her Eddie Bauer "B" is for Bear Bassinet. I lost the information booklet on it and need to know the weight limit for this bassinet. My daughter isn't exactly a dainty little baby at 18 pounds. She has not gotten used to sleeping in her larger crib, although I have been trying to transition her by having her take daytime naps in it. I just don't want to wake up one night to a loud thump and her on the floor because the bassinet could no longer hold her weight. So, does anyone know the weight limit for this bassinet?

Adopting straight from foster care vs foster to adopt?

In my area, the certification process is the same for foster/adopt as it is for adopting a waiting child. Our county DHS is the only agency that handles foster care. In counties where private agencies are contracted for foster care, this may be different.

All homestudies are the same in every kind of adoption. You don't have to compile a dossier like you would have to with an agency adoption, but you have to compile references, financial statements, medical forms, background check/fingerprints, and pictures of yourselves, house , and pets for the caseworkers to show a child who is being placed in your home.

I can tell you that a girl 0-4yrs old will not be available for straight adoption unless there are severe medical/developmental needs. With such a specific and young preference, your wait could be pretty long unless you choose to foster first.

My suggestion would be to go through the MAPP classes that are needed to be certified for either program, then decide which program is best for you after you have all the info from training.

@ Ann- your experience is very rare. No one is trying to scare PAP's away from waiting children, but realistic expectations are necessary to survive foster care and foster/adoption. Safe Haven babies are not an everyday occurrence, and I've never heard of a 4mo that has been freed, passed for adoption by the foster family, and sent to foster/adopt. Most waiting children have special needs that require a strong call to care from the adoptive family.

Parents that keep their kids in harness seats until the child is 85 pounds, a little overprotective or normal?

Overprotective and ridiculous. Sadly, overprotective and ridiculous IS the norm now. And I'm just waiting to see when it will all end.
I was a late bloomer - I was not even 5 foot tall and probably weighed 80 pounds at most when I was 14/15, and only hit a growth spurt (and grew 8 inches in half a year) when I was about 16. At 13/14/15, I got mistaken for an elementary school student when I was not only in high school, but a highschooler who had skipped grades. I started college part time when I was 15 and my parents' neighbours' 10 year old towered over me! If I was living in this era with parents who were overprotective cretins, I would still be in a carseat when I was getting my learner's permit!

My oldest two are out of seats at 9 and 7. My 4y/o is in a booster but probably not for much more than a year longer.
