What's the best way to watch movies on the iPad offline on an airplane?

iTunes movie rentals etc do not work in many countries. The iTunes store is blocked for any content such as books and movies.  For people from those countries, the best solution is to get the Air Video app, connect it to a folder on your computer, convert the movies in that folder on the iPad while you are online and have a wifi connection (this is usually easier than HandBrake). Instructions for this are available with the Air Video app. This will automatically create the .mp4 files and save them in the same folder as the origin file. You will then have to move these mp4 files to the "Videos" section in your iPad in iTunes. Then run sync. The files will now be copied into the Videos section on your iPad device. Which means you can watch them offline. Yes, sadly this is a slightly long-winded process. But it's the fastest in comparison to the HandBrake tool, which also requires you to mess about with the video/audio settings. Useful Links: 1. AIR VIDEO app: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/a...2.
