Are there shoes, that are good for hiking and walking long distances in the city?

For walking on pavement, cushioning and support are the principal factors I apply in choosing a shoe, and I would almost always choose either a FitFlop lace-up shoe or a Nike running shoe.FitFlops have a variable density midsole and baked-in arch support that create a really excellent walking experience for me, and Nike running shoes are designed to promote forward motion. They can also be very lightweight and breathable.Because I have flat feet, sometimes I enhance my Nikes with aftermarket insoles. I like Spenco and have recently started using a brand called Protalus, which are very good. The Protalus model T is too thick and squinches my toes, so I use their model S.For hiking shoes (not on pavement) I would probably go with Keen. They also have very good cushioning and support.

. Gary built a square table for a kitchen. In his initial sketch, each side measured x inches. After rearranging some furniture, he realized he would have to add one foot to the length and remove one foot from the width and have a rectangular table instead. Write a polynomial to represent the area of the rectangular table. Find the area if x = 2.

Are Indian teachers in demand in Canada? What are the job prospects for them?

It's a regulated profession for most parts. So you will have to give another exam and the process I understand takes about 2 years. Please understand one very important thing, coming to a new place means you have hit the reset button!!And one should be willing to start from scratch and than work your way up.. If you can demonstrate experience of your previous qualification while working - you can climb the ladder soonerPersistence & Patience are 2 virtues that you have to have an overload of.. It's like jumping from a plane for sky diving.. Once you've decided & jumped.. There's no turning back, rather enjoy the ride and execute a safe landing!!If you think, moving to Canada will have less positive impact on your lifestyle & standard of living.. Than forget about migrating, spend some money & come here for a small vacation.. That way you will be your own judge! And if you still have that FIRE IN YOUR BELLY, to make things work.. This is a land of opportunity!!! A land that is quickly getting filled with lots & lots of students, refugees, express entry families, professional PRs and the list goes on!!One challenge of migration is, we all want to come to big cities thinking of better prospects / better concentrated communities.. But ultimately this heavy influx in urban areas & surroundings can (at times) become hazardous for the demand vs supply equation.Just speaking my mind here, I have 12 years of experience but joined at the bottom of my field and my manager is 10 years younger than me. I'm pleasantly surprised by how a 24 year old is managing a team of people and doing a great job.. Infact I'm just thinking, was I as efficient at 24.But I'm determined to remain in my industry, not succumb to circumstances, prepared myself to burn some more savings from back home in order to set myself in my actual career..Because Once you deviate and pick up an odd job.. And that job pays your bills & rent & loans; You will not want to switch or take further risks. It's only been 2 weeks since we arrived, but I will say that we personally have a very positive vibe around and are determined to strive for our goals.. Wish us luck

How do you account for shrinkage when crocheting?

Are there ripples or waves or zig zags in the pattern? While these will still appear square as a finished fabric they will draw the fabric together while crocheting, mean that while it seemed long enough in the chain state, it's not long enough in the finished stage. This drawing up is very common in both knitting and crochet and you need to compensate for it.

You'll need to do a little math here, this is something knitting and crochet pattern designers do. How long is the chain and how long is the piece when you are finished? if your head is 20 inches and the finished piece is 16 inches then you are losing about 25%, so you need to make the original chain 25% longer. 20x .25= 5, so you need to add about 5 inches to the chain. When you are finished the piece it will shrink down to about 20 inches.

I'm sure there's more precise calculations, but this should help you start to calculate how much longer you need to make your start chain.

Additionally, don't use the base chain as your starting measurement. the measurements should be taken inside the worked pattern. This is where a gauge swatch is important. Make a small swatch of the pattern about 4 inches square and count the stitches that make up 4 inches. Don't count from the chain, count in the center of the swatch. multiply the number of stitches in the swatch by your head circumference and then you will have a better idea of how long the start chain should be. It seems like it should be as simple as holding the chain up to your head, but it isn't.

Oh yes, and double check that you are turning correctly, are you making a stitch in the turning chain? It's very easy to lose a stitch when turning the work. You might want to try crocheting your hat as a tube instead of crocheting flat and sewing up. It might be the solution you need. try turning it into a tube, see if that makes a difference.
