Where Can I Find The Igcse Ict Theory Paper 1 Past Papers

How many past papers should I solve for IGCSE?

I’ve said this before, very recently, for other subjects, but the same applies, so I am just going to copy and paste my previous answer, if you don’t mind.Doing past papers is not a way of teaching yourself: it is mainly a way of checking your learning. You revise, you do a past paper, you look at the Mark Scheme to check it. If it’s good, perhaps do another one to be on the safe side. And always look at the Examiners’ Reports, because thy tell you a huge amount about where students got marks, and where they tended to lose them. One thing I have to say (I have said it numerous times, but let’s try one more time):UK exams are not like (for example) an MSCE exam: they are not just a set of perhaps a thousand questions, with a thousand correct answers, where all you have to do is memorise the answers, and answer whichever of the 1000 questions come up on the day.UK exams are designed to test your understanding, not just your ability to memorise prescribed answers. So it is no good just wanting to know how many past papers you have to practise in order to have learned all the questions and all the matching answers. The papers are not written like that. Finally, you talk about “solving” past papers. GCSEs and A levels are not like crossword puzzles: you don’t just have to work out what the one correct answer is, and write it down. For a start, the questions nearly always start with a “stem” which provides a context for the main part of the question. The Business Studies papers may well begin with a Case Study, or a brief description of a business and its situation and problems. Always read the stem of the question, and make sure your answer is clearly related to it. If you just think in terms of learning a standard answer and writing it down, you are very likely to lost marks.Remember: keep asking yourself, “Am I answering the question they have asked?” Because you won’t score high marks unless you are!

I have an AICT theory exam paper 12 on monday. HELP!!!?

i need someone to give me some hints and tips of the recurring ideas for this paper and on what to concentrate when revising as i haven't had time to study from the book, i had also re-took ict igcse this session so i have a good background but i don't think they're sufficient for allowing me to pass this paper with at least 70%. any help is appreciated please

How do I go about studying for the ICT IGCSE?

I took GCSE ICT, but there can’t be that much of a difference. The answer is pretty straight-forward, just spam past-papers. If you’re just beginning your second year of GCSEs then I’d recommend you space them out along the year - leaving at least two for a date close to when you’ll take the exam.Doing past-papers will only really help you get a feel for the exam but mark-schemes are going to be where you should focus - that will tell you exactly how to answer the question in the most concise and effective way possible.Anyway don’t stress too much, most of it is Coursework and for that I’d just recommend you focus in class.

What are some good ways to prepare for the ICT theory exam (IGCSE)?

IGCSE ICT theory chapters cannot be learned. In fact, you cannot even learn the advantages, disadvantages or uses unless you are really good in memorizing. You must read the chapters as many times as possible. Just read and understand.Focus on last few chapters that include applications and effects of ICT for CIE tends to ask questions relating to those the most. Best of Luck!

In your opinion, what is the most challenging year in IGCSE ICT Practicals, especially the Excel aspect and why?

From 2007 to 2015, I found the 2011 May-June paper 3 variant 1 the most challenging. This is because before this paper, the papers especially the Excel part were similar to the preceding paper. This was the only paper which had the use of internet to find data. The objective was to check if students can find reliable data online and can differentiate between what can be trusted and what cannot. It was also challenging because of the IF statement that we needed to form. It was different from the previous IF statements that were asked and students weren’t used to it. Another lesser known thing asked was the use of NOT (<>) which was to be used in the COUNTIF and SUMIF function.Though I have still not understood the use of grade thresholds (at least in India), the grade thresholds for this year were low with one needing only 58 marks out of 80 to score an A* whereas one needed to score 70 for an A* in the second variant of the same paper.

IGCSE Students: Are you finding the 2017 May/June examinations harder than most past papers?

I had by Biology and Chemistry IGCSEs a few days ago and before doing those, I make sure that I’ll do at least 4 past papers (Mostly 2016).Paper 4From what I’ve experienced, I find chemistry to be easier than what I’ve thought as the question structure is similar to what’s found on past papers, even the sequence! (Starts with particle theory > Bondings > Moles > Energy changes and alkane, alkene, alchohol and carbocylic acid in the end). What’s different from the past papers I’ve did is that the questions are different of course and it’s way simpler, especially with the calculations.Meanwhile, for Biology, I find it way harder than the past paper. I felt like they made it entirely different from question structures on found on past papers, and most of the questions that appeared are things that I don’t have much knowledge with (despite studying from the syllabus). Such as the symptoms of the sickness that appeared on the middle of the test (forgot its name). I literally never heard of it.Paper 2For paper 2 (multiple choice), I find both papers to have the same difficulty with the past papers, although, I find Biology to be a little bit easier as it’s more “straightforward” over the past papers.
