Where Can I Get A Sd Card For My 3ds

3DS - Format SD Card?

So I recently bought a 3DS and I wanted to put Music on it. I took out the SD card and placed it in my computer. It said I have to format the disk before I could use it. On my format settings I have:
Capacity: Unknown (O_o)
File System: FAT (Default)
Allocation Unit Size: Default Allocation size
Volume Label: Blank
Quick Format is checked
And then I click START. It then says "Windows in unable to complete the format"
WHAT DO I DO?

How many blocks are in 2gb sd card for 3ds?

For Nintendo consoles, 1 Block = 0.125 MB (= 128 KB)... or 8 blocks = 1 MB... So 1 GB SHOULD EQUAL 8,192 Blocks

HOWEVER, please be aware that storage devices DO NOT use the computing standard of 1 GB = 1024 MB. They use the "Commercial Standard" of 1 GB = 1,000 MB, which would equal 8,000 Blocks.

So 2 GB = 2,000 MB * 8 Blocks / MB = ~16,000 Blocks

Please be aware that the exact amount may be smaller than noted due even broader "commercial rounding", but these are good rules of thumb to assist you in gauging storage.

How do I swap microSD cards between two 3DS's?

First, make sure your old card is compatible with a new 3ds. Only micro sd cards can be used with your new system. If you were using a larger card, you’l need to buy a new one.And update both systems to the latest version.Once that is sorted out, open your old 3ds and go to the eshop. Search for the system transfer tool. It's free, and you'll need it. Download and open. You will want to do a pc-based transfer. Follow all instructions on screen and the app should guide you through this.A more thorough guide is available here:How to Perform a System Transfer to a New Nintendo 3DS System (PC)

What SD card works best for a new Nintendo 3DS XL?

You’re best off buying a 32GB MicroSD card. The brand is not necessarily important, but mine is a Sandisk and works beautifully (it came with an adaptor too). Highly recommended. As long as it is a MicroSD with 32GB storage or less, it will read. 64GB cards use a different file system and will not work. The more space the better if you want to download anything (up to 32GB, of course).
