Where Can I Get Any Of These Animals

Even though the animal's body cells would only have two of these chomosmes, any of the 4 could be found in a

Short Answer: Because of recombination during meiosis.

Long Answer: The 2 loci seem to be in the same chromosome crossing over allows for recombination of these:

"Chromosomal crossover (or crossing over) is the process by which two chromosomes pair up and exchange sections of their DNA. This often occurs during prophase 1 of meiosis in a process called synapsis. Synapsis begins before the synaptonemal complex develops, and is not completed until near the end of prophase 1. Crossover usually occurs when matching regions on matching chromosomes break and then reconnect to the other chromosome. The result of this process is an exchange of genes, called genetic recombination. Chromosomal crossovers also occur in asexual organisms and in somatic cells, since they are important in some forms of DNA repair.[1]

Crossing over was first described, in theory, by Thomas Hunt Morgan. The physical basis of crossing over was first demonstrated by Harriet Creighton and Barbara McClintock in 1931.[2]"

How did Noah know how many different animals there were on the whole Earth?

Haven't you seen any of the cartoons? Just like Santa Claus, he had a long list to check them off, and apparently most of them spent the voyage on the deck with the giraffes poking up out of a hole in the roof.

If you haven't figured it out already, the story of Noah and his flood is pure bullsh!t. The multi-billion-year geological model of the Earth's history has a mountain of evidence supporting it and shows no evidence of a global flood whatsoever.

Are any of these animals beanie babies?

My friends birthday is coming up and she loves beanie babies. I was wondering if any of the following animals have been turned into beanie babies. The animals I am wondering about are a salmon, a lobster, a chicken, a manatee, or a shrimp. If you know if at least one of these animals has been turned into a beanie baby, let me know. Also I am looking for original beanie babies, not the new electronic ones. Thanks!

What are some animals that most people have never seen before?

Aye-AyeThe aye-aye is a lemur, a strepsirrhine primate native to Madagascar that combines rodent-like teeth that perpetually grow and a special thin middle finger.Long middle finger to say …..The Blue ParrotfishThis bright blue fish can be found in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, and spends 80% of its time searching for food.Did humans found Dorry?Giant IsopodThis one is the largest of the existing isopods. “The enormous size of the giant isopod is a result of a phenomenon known as deep sea gigantism. This is the tendency of deep sea crustaceans and other animals to grow to a much larger size than similar species in shallower waters.”Remember Kabuto from pokemon? The Pacu FishYou probably don’t need much explanation as to why the residents of Papua New Guinea call this fish a “ball cutter.” The local fishermen were really worried about the safety of their testicles when they had to get in the water! This is the kind of Fish to be used in Horror movies.Penis SnakeThis, uhm… peculiar eyeless animal is actually called Atretochoana eiselti. It is a large, presumably aquatic, caecilian amphibian with a broad, flat head and a fleshy dorsal fin on the bodyOk, its longLowland Streaked TenrecFound in Madagascar, Africa, this small tenrec is the only mammal known to use stridulation for generating sound – something that’s usually associated with snakes and insects.Glaucus AtlanticusAlso known as the blue dragon, this creature is a is a species of blue sea slug. You could find it in warm waters of the oceans, as it floats on the surface because of a gas-filled sac in its stomachYeah, dragons are realMantis ShrimpAlso called the “sea locusts“, “prawn killers” and even “thumb splitters”, this is one of the most common predators in tropical and sub-tropical waters; little is known about them, however, because of how much time they spend hiding in their burrows. This dude was playing holiDumbo OctopusGrimpoteuthis, also called the Dumbo octopus, is a genus of pelagic umbrella octopus, so named for the prominent ear-like fins which characteristically protrude from the mantle just above the eyesDon’t make fun, he’s dumbThanks for reading!

Will any of these animals eat brine shrimp or krill?

Bettas,Koi, and generally goldfish will eat brine shrimp. But, Crayfish, possibly, can eat a goldfish, but would also eat krill.

Do any of the animal species in a zoo realize that they are being held captive by humans?

Of course, many of them do! They see humans walk through barriers that the animals can't cross. Domesticated animals clearly know this — cats cry at the door and dogs scratch and bark to be let out or in. Horses will barge through a gate that a human is opening, because these animals know that we hold the power to transcend the barriers that keep them confined. Of course the more advanced, perceptive species know that we control their movements, or lack thereof.

What other animals have menstrual cycles? Do any bleed the way humans do?

By periods you mean menstrual cycle. So the answer is no. All animals don’t have periods. Let’s make this concept clear. You know animals are divided into two heads chordates and non-chordates. Non-chordates are much less evolved that some have asexual reproduction and most of them sexually reproduce but with external fertilization. So no need of menses. Now coming to chordates we haveFishes external fertilization so no mensesAmphibians again external fertilizationReptiles internal fertilization but no menses (Why? would explain later)Birds external fertilizationMammals Internal fertilizationDo you know the importance of this menstrual cycle? The innermost layer of female uterus is endometrium, the sole responsibility of which is development of the embryo. In absence of fertilization this layer of endometrium sheds and results into what is known as periods. As you know reptile embryos grows inside eggs. So definitely no existence of any such layer as their embryos are fed not by the mother but by this egg.Now coming to mammals. Observing all the circumstances which cause periods you might guess till now that such a cycle must exist in mammals. Before answering this, let me tell you that even mammals are divided into small heads one of which is primates which includes humans, monkeys, orangutans, gorillas, chimpanzees and our related cousins. So the answer is this menstrual cycle exists only in primates. So what about the other mammals. Other mammals have another cycle called estrous cycle. The reproduction ability for all mammals are same, so why a different cycle? What are the differences between the two?Answering your questions, ‘rest other mammals are seasonal breeders’, thus they can reproduce only during a certain time in a year. It is during this time that sexual hormones start generating in them. The process of formation of endometrium starts. But in case of absence of fertilization, unlike humans, their body absorbs the endometrium instead of releasing them out of the body. This is estrous cycle. It happens in all mammals(excluding primates of course) be it cats, dogs, tiger, lions, cattle, etc.

Did animals die while making The Lord of the Rings movies?

I do not think that any animals died during the making of the ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy. But in ‘The Hobbit’ trilogy however, it was reported that 28 animals died.A bunch of animal wranglers were hired to look after over 150 animals that were used in the Hobbit trilogy. However 28 of these animals died. This happened because of the place where the animals were kept. The animals were kept on a ‘Home Alone’ type farm. When I say this I mean there were steep cliffs, sinkholes, and sharp fences. One of these animals included a little young horse named ‘Rainbow’ which was used as one of the hobbit’s horses. It feel down a steep cliff and broke it’s back. When one of the wranglers found the poor thing, it had to be euthanised.Altogether, 24 sheep, chickens and goats were chewed apart by a dog. There were three other horses that also died. One of the horses named ‘Claire’ died by falling into a small river where it then got stuck and drowned. The two other horses name ‘Doofus’ (I don’t know why it was called this) and ‘Molly’ were caught on fences and had their legs ripped open and then died from the wounds. This is a movie that can definitely not say “No animals were harmed in the making of this film”.

A farmer has 80 animals in his farm: some goats and some chickens. The total number of animal legs is 200. How many chickens are there?

You can use Algebra to figure it out.Number of Goats + Number of chickens = 80So: G + C = 80AND The number of legs of all the animals adds up to 200.So: 4G + 2C = 200 (4 legs per goat) plus (2 legs per chicken) = 200 legsWe are looking for the number of chickens. We should figure out what C is in terms of G. That will leave us with just a C in our equation.G + C = 80Next Step: C = 80-GSo the whole equation will look like this:4(80-C)+2C=200Next step: 320 - 4C + 2C = 200Next step: 320 - 2C = 200Next step: 320 = 200 + 2CNext step: 120 = 2CNext step: 60 = CSo the farmer has 60 chickens.Now lets check the math.G + C = 80Next step: G + 20 = 80Next step: G = 20Further checking the math:4G + 2C = 200 (G is 20 and C is 60)Next step: 4(20) + 2(60) = 200Next step: 80 + 120 = 200 Boom.So that is how to use algebra to figure it out.Now don’t be asking me why you learn algebra in school!
