Where Can I Get Car Stickers For Inspection And Year Update

Can you get a Pa state inspection sticker for more than one year ?

Not really. You can get your car inspected before the month of your inspection sticker (90 days), but that is not really the same as what you are referring to. And, if early inspection, the sticker is still good for only one year.

Upon passing a safety inspection most passenger cars and light trucks will receive an inspection sticker valid for one year from the month of inspection or one year from the expiration of the current inspection sticker on the vehicle. http://www.dmv.state.pa.us/inspections/s...

Are car inspection stickers color coded for the YEAR or the month?

In Missouri we get inspections biannually, and its the same color for the year. In NY, where I am originally from, its the year as well. What state do you live in?

When you get the sticker for your car inspection? Does the sticker have the month and year when received or is it a year in advance?

Let’s say all inspections – no matter what – grant registration for the same amount of time. Making the registration stickers list the date of inspection would still require enforcement agents to perform math in order to determine the validity of those stickers. Now, let’s not be naive, and let’s assume that inspections for all manners of vehicles are performed and there are varying durations that these different vehicles are registered for. If registration stickers report the inspection date then the onus is on enforcement agents to know the length of time for which each type of every vehicle and application is registered, and to perform the appropriate math on every sticker they audit. That’d be a terrible system; one that would likely create a great incentive for enforcement agents not to accidentally look at any stickers. You can thus deduce, it is far more logical that stickers would report their expiration date and no math need be performed in order to determine their expiry.

Maryland car inspection sticker location??

Maryland does not have annual inspection. There is an emissions inspection required every two years in certain areas of the state. No sticker is issued, you just get a paper certificate that should be kept in the vehicle.

When the title is transferred on a used car, the car must have a Maryland safety inspection, but this is not required on new cars, and is only required at time of title transfer.

The two stickers on your license plate are the month (which should be on the left) and the year which is the sticker with a serial number on it. This is when the tag expires, at midnight on the last day of the month and year!

How do you read a vehicle inspection sticker?

As of todays date 3/28/2008:
If a New jersey vehicle's sticker reads 9(month) 2007(year).
Is that the date it was inspected and you have a year before re-inspection or the date you have to get it re-inspected?

Is a new plate and inspection sticker necessary if changing car ownership to family member?

Mass law may be different from Vermont law.In Vermont law, if the vehicle will be registered in the transferree's name, it will need a new set of plates but not a new inspection sticker until inspection is again due (one calendar year from the prior inspection). If the car will continue to be registered in the transferor's name, no new plate will be required. The plate is keyed to the registration, which is keyed to the registered owner of the vehicle. The plate removed from any transferred vehicle must by law be returned to the DMV (although this is actually seldom done).

Can a used car place sell a car without and updated inspection sticker in Texas?

A friend of mine just brought a used car from a used car lot in Houston. He drove it over to my house so I could check out his new ride. When I noticed that his inspection sticker had expired in February. I asked him why he didnt get that fixed B4 he brought the car. He says he didn't even notice, that he will get that done asap. My thing is how can this place do that. I thought that car lots have to have the cars they sell updated or at least update all inspection B4 selling them. Please if you know, school me on this, cuz I don't think my friend should have to pay. Even though it was dumb of him not to notice.

NJ inspection sticker expired a year ago - what will happen?

My car is currently registered and insured - however, my inspection sticker expired over a year ago - I have had a rejected sticker for about a year, and was due to re-inspect by March 07. I have inspection on Monday... what can I expect? Could my registration have been cancelled? What if that's the case, what are they gonna do at inspection? I'm so scared... the thing is, I was away in Europe for months and couldn't renew it because of that.
