The important thing to know about cracks present on concrete slab is their nature. As we all know that on variation of temperature, RCC slab get expand and contract which is called thermal expansion and contraction. On rise of temperature it expands and on fall it contracts. These variations will reflect on the cracks too and there will be a movement on cracks.So, anything which is to be applied on the cracks must be flexible enough to accommodate the movements.Two types of treatment can be usedPU(Polyurethane) sealant treatment- In this treatment, after cleaning of surface, slight V-groove cut has to be made on cracks. Thermal paste is used to attach heat-sinks to chips such as microprocessors or graphics chip. It is meant to smooth out the bumps between the two and provide maximum surface area for transferring the heat from the chip to the sink (which is then cooled by multiple fans). I do not know of a good substitute for this and maybe none exist because the chip+heatsink combo is usually $200+ while the thermal paste is maybe $5.00. Why do you want a substitute?
