Where Can I Join Football/soccer Here In The Philippines Beginner Problem Is Im Old

Im 14 years old is it too late to start playing soccer?

Well, most people who become really good at soccer start at a very young age, but I guess everyone has a chance. Being a soccer player at that level though is not something you can just decide to do, it takes hard work and skill to reach that level. Good luck,

My soccer shots are weak. How do i make my soccer shots stronger?

If you were kicking the ball correctly and still had weak shots, then lifting weights or strength training might be the only way to improve but chances are you are not. I have played soccer my whole life and I have learned that if you kick the ball correctly, you don't really need to kick it hard to make it go.

When kicking the ball correctly, your ankle is locked with your toe pointing down. That way, when you strike the ball, it will hit "the laces"; or the sweet spot of your foot. Feel your foot; find that sweet spot. The sweet spot is generally located beneath your laces on your boots. You'll find that there is a bone there that if you strike the ball with it, the ball will fly. After you strike the ball, you need to follow through; if you don't follow through, you won't get as much power or get the spin that you wanted. Practice this technique a couple times without the ball; then practice with the ball but at half speed. Make sure you are hitting right. It is hard learn this technique through just reading about it so if it doesn't work after the first couple trys, ask a real coach about this technique; if they actually know how to play, they should know this.

What is the equivalent of a "faceoff" in soccer?

well the kickoff happens at the beginning of each half, but there is something more similar to a faceoff and it's called a drop ball. when something happens during play where no team is awarded possession, the ref drops the ball between two players who then wait for it to touch the ground and attempt to retrieve possession

edit - no, rooney's answer is wrong. rooney is describing kicking the ball out of bounds to stop play for an injury as a dropball. the opposing team then throws the ball back into the team who had possession last. notice there is no droppig of the ball in his entire description... a drop ball is exactly what i said and here is an example of a player not waiting for the ball to hit the ground: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0umwJvtQXC8

Whats the easiest soccer position for a newbie and what would you have to do?

The easiest position is a Striker because you just have to get used to getting in good positions, losing your marker, and be careful not to be caught on offside(hint: before the midfield passes a through ball make sure you are in line or behind the last defender but you have to act quickly because if your not fast the opponents defender could intercept the pass and get to the ball before you do.) a midfield is really tiring since you have to go forward to filter passes to your forwards and also try to contain your opponents midfielder players and helping your defenders. Defenders need good marking, tackling, be fast especially if your opponent has a fast striker, balance (especially for good dribbling opponents.) heading for free kicks and corners, good anticipation good for intercepting crosses and passes. Strength is also needed because most players push a lot. and some technique for dribbling around opponents during clearing in a "dangerous situation" goalkeepers need good reflexes, and positioning in order to close the angle of the opponent so it can be harder for him to score.

I think thats the easiest position. I play all positions including goalkeeper, and in my opinion striker is the easiest compare to the others. it also depends on natural skills for example: I am good a shifting my body really fast i have flexible hips that allow me to change direction quickly and also dancing hehe. so try finding your natural skill and the easiest way to find out is by finding something you can do easily with little or no effort.

I am a 19 year old skinny guy who’s 6 feet tall and weighs around 65 kg. How can I get a lean muscular athlete's body?

You will have to do quite a few things. First, find a fitness regimen. I would ask you to avoid gyms almost completely. Instead, take up martial arts classes and/or Parkour. These activities use all kinds of bodyweight exercises to tone your muscles, make you stronger and give your body an athletic feel and ability. Second, eat well. For me, four eggs and a liter of milk a day worked really well. Cut out all junk food, though you can eat them rarely. Make sure that you drink enough milk after your workouts. Also, the meal after your workout should be loaded with carbs and proteins for muscle recovery. Eat five-six times a day - heavy breakfast, light snacks, decent lunch, heavy snacks, and light dinner. Drink enough water every day. Hydration is extremely important, especially since you will be going for martial arts/Parkour. Third, sleep well. You need at least 8 hours of sleep in order to rebuild your muscles after a tiring day's workout. 10 PM to 6 AM works for me, since that coincides with the Circadian rhythm, thereby ensuring that important hormones such as melatonin are released at the right time. Fourth, no smoking, drinking or drugs. These will not help you in any way, and can prevent you from achieving your goals. Period. Fifth, don't obsess over your body. Enjoy the martial art that you have chosen, and try to master it. Your body will be built automatically. Muscle obsession leads to steroids and ugly, muscular bodies which bodybuilders have. Mastery of a martial art will give you the lean athletic body that you wish for.
