It depends upon which iPod. But iPods in general are kind of useless. I would say if you are going to buy an iPod touch you are making a mistake. Buy an iPhone 5s instead. It's the same price as iPod touch online. I did the same thing. I bought an iPhone 5s in Jan 2017. If you are worried about performance then be worry free since the 5s flies in daily use. Only problem is the battery. But there are several measures you can take to improve battery life.
What is the best music app for an iPhone that doesn't need internet access to play?
If not already mentioned, PlayTube. PlayTube lets you "cache" YouTube videos. This will allow you to take any video off of YouTube and play it in the middle of nowhere. This includes music. The only thing irritating about it is the ads when connected, but overall, great app. Unlike YouTube, this one has the ability to keep playing while your iPxxxx is locked. Good free offline music apps?
Is there any good free offline music apps!? I've tried everything! I don't mind having internet for the downloads but when I'm out and about, I don't have Internet so I can't listen to my music! It's really annoying! Please help! And check before you post!
IPhone 4 music skips before song is over...why?
Hello, I just got an iPhone 4 and loaded all my misic on it. When i place it in a docking station and i listen to my ipod on the iphone some songs (2 out fo 10 maybe?) skip about half way through. I know that the songs are full song and play fully on my computer. Does anyone what is causing this and how to make it stop?

You are not able to download or find the music being offline. You need to be in the Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. So, the only way is ti transfer the music via iTunes or iTools connected to the PC. How Much Battery Does Listening to Music Take Up?
It's variable, since there are so many different ways iOS devices read music files. Any high-quality mp3 (320kbps) will obviously take up more battery source per second than, say, a high-quality 256kbps file, but despite that they don't do much of an impact on the phone's battery, since a regular iPod Touch (which has a weaker battery) usually lasts a while even after playing music on it for a good 20 hours or so. iPhone 4 is about 40 hours, so yeah it will last you long. You won't notice any big changes to power consumption unless you have music, along with a bunch of other apps running in the background of your device.
