Where Can I Read The Rest Of This Fanfiction

How do I stop reading so much fan fiction?

Thanks for the A2A.This is a difficult thing to answer, and there have been many other fine answers already given.I suggest that you break this idea down a different way and start with the first part of your explanation.“It's becoming an obsession, an unhealthy one.”There have been studies that show some people suffer from withdrawal from video games because they are actually addicted. Video gaming withdrawal symptoms - Computer Gaming Addicts AnonymousIf playing video games can be addictive, why can’t reading fan fiction? You are escaping into a fantasy world that you wish was real, that, at times, when you are immersed in it, can seem real. I see no reason why it would be hard to believe that coming back into the real world would be difficult. This probably leads you into going further into the fantasy over and over again, and honestly, if you think it is becoming an unhealthy obsession, then it probably is.If you are having problems setting limits for yourself and keeping them, then perhaps it is time to treat this as an addiction and admit that you don’t have control over it, it has control over you.I would suggest that you seriously consider obtaining professional help to find ways to overcome this addiction. The reason why I suggest professional help is that a professional will be better equipped to help you find any possible underlying causes of this, such as perhaps depression, and help you cope with that as well.I have a degree in psychology, but I don’t pretend to know anything, so please don’t think I do. I did spend time working in what could be called a mental health field, and even if it wasn’t, I did work with people who definitely were in the mental health field, and one thing I am sure of, it is nearly impossible to help someone with mental health/addiction problems if they don’t want to be helped, and someone who really wants help rarely needs much of it to succeed. The very first thing you have to do is decide for yourself. Is this really a problem? Do you really want to stop? Are you just attention seeking? Can you do this yourself? If you are not sure of your answer to any of those questions (and you have to be honest about lying to yourself), then perhaps you should consider seeking help.Good luck. I wish you the best.

Where can I read fanfiction ?

As people have mentioned, there is a plethora of fan fiction sites, including multi-fandom sites like fanfiction.net, individual fandom archives and authors' personal fictions pages, as well as live journal communities and individual authors' livejournal pages.

As someone also mentioned, it would help to know what sort of fan fiction you're looking for (slash, gen, het, a particular show, etc.). Without those details, any recommendation will need to be general. That said, you may want to look for fiction recs (reccomendation) pages, which may point you to some of the best work in any fandom. You can do a web search (google or yahoo) using the name of the fandom and "fiction recs" or "reccomendations."

Other ways to find fiction include fandom-specific newsletters on livejournal which gather links to posts (fiction, discussion, vids, etc.) for a particular show and social bookmarking sites like del.icio.us where users bookmark their favorite sites. Once you find someone whose taste matches yours, you can begin reading the stories they considered worth bookmarking.

Good luck!

Do you call this a fanfiction?

The fanfictions i have usually read have this own character and the rest of the original characters from one show.

But what if there are original characters from two or three DIFFERENT shows/books/fandom and more than one OC (own character)? Do you still call that a fanfiction? Can this still be a fanfiction?

Will turning a character who has supernatural powers into a slice of life character be okay and considered a fanfiction?

What's the best Star Wars book/fanfiction you have read?

in my opinion the best in cannon star wars book has to be……Although it does not particularly effect any of the characters in the films, except from a brief cameo appearance by Darth Vader on Hoth, (which reminds me a lot on the Rogue one hallway scene), I still love the book. It follows a sceptical rebel sergeant Namir through a series of battles on different worlds. The book really delves into what it would be like to fight for the rebellion. Not only does Freed (the author) create great fast paced battle scenes but he also manages to pull off excellent quiet scenes where we get to really know the rest of the members of Twilight Company. The best part of the book for me is the end battle. It is quite brutal and it creates an amount of suspense that I have rarely found in other star wars books.

What's some of the best A Song of Ice and Fire fanfiction you've read?

*cracks knuckles* Alright, let’s do this.1. Ned Stark Lives! (Part 2) (Part 3)With the simple title, I was expecting an overly simplistic and kind of smug story that has Ned saving the day and the other factions basically bowing down without much of a fight. I was very wrong. It’s a very long, engrossing series that explores how the War of the Five Kings and the battle with the Others would have changed had Ned survived. My one complaint about it is the Arya/Gendry relationship in it. Arya is so young that parts are uncomfortable to read. However, it’s thankfully a small part in the grand scheme of things.2. A Knight’s WatchInstead of joining the Night’s Watch, Jon Snow becomes a squire for a southron knight. He fights first for Renly in the War of the Five Kings, because that’s who his lord is supporting, then for Stannis at the Battle of the Blackwater, and then he ends up in the Vale where he is knighted in a scene that made me cry, and then comes upon Sansa. He helps her escape Littlefinger, and together, they work to avenge their family. R+L=J comes up, and Jon and Sansa do become lovers. This is probably the weakest part for me, because they’re both very young, but the rest of it is very well done. It has a very broad scope.3. Trials and TricksAfter R+L=J revelation, and Daenerys’s conquest, for Queen in the North Sansa Stark is brought before the new queen and her heir, Jon Snow Targaryen to answer for her crimes including the murder of Petyr Baelish, the murder of her own son Eddard Hardyng, and high treason. It’s another very well done story in my opinion. There are many others. I would recommend going to the ASoIaF fic archive on Ao3 and sorting the available stories by number of hits. High readership isn’t always a sure thing, but it’s a good place to start.
