I live in Cleveland, Ohio. I have at LEAST 10 pairs of shoes that i've only worn like 3 no more than 4 times since i purchased them. I need some money and don't want $10 or $15 for some $80 shoes. What is the best place to sell your wedding dress?
Dependent upon where you live. Here in Canada there are a number of options - you can try to sell it yourself on Kijiji or Craigslist and am sure there are also online sites dedicated to selling gently used wedding dresses. Or, there are also stores that specialize in this as well and finally a upper class second hand clothing store. I did this last route when I sold my wedding dress. When I called they said they didn’t take wedding dresses but told me to bring it in and they would take a look. My dress was very unique and they not only took it but put it in their front window! The dress sold quickly but of course at a fraction of the price I paid so don’t expect to get anywhere close to what you paid for your dress.

I agree. You can go broke buying prom dresses. If you find a nice and clean dress that fits you, or can be easily altered, then buy it. Prom and Bridal dresses are a big business racket today, and it will only get worse. You are a smart girl (I hope that you are a girl) to consider this as an option. There are also a lot of used dresses on EBay, and in larger cities there are even stores that specialize in second hand (or "gently worn") formal dresses. You can save a lot of money and still look like a hottie. As a side point, Swedish singer Lena Philipsson still makes many of her own clothes for her shows. check her on YouTube singing "Det Gor Ont"/"It Hurts" in home made attire.
Can't Afford Prom Dress...?
My Junior boyfriend asked me to prom...and see I'm a Freshman and my mom (understandable) wont give me any money for a prom dress. So i have to find a way to raise money or earn money for a dress. It doesn't have to be expensive, it just has to be formal enough and cute enough so i look like a princess for him, i don't want to ruin it for him wearing my homecoming dress...although it was really expensive...its short and black and bubbly...so i guess i cant wear this, no? I cant get a job legally and babysitting wont work for me since everyone Ive asked ether has a nanny or babysitter they've used for a while. But the prom is in 3 months, so i don't know if I'm even going to be together...and i don't even go to that school...so what should i do...not waste my time...but Ive got to go?
