It was very awkward. He didn’t get a date, and I was stuck with a bag of chocolate like “wtf is this? What am I supposed to do with it?” because it just felt wrong to keep the gift when I had no interest in him.So yeah, please don’t do this. Over the top romantic gestures should be reserved for after she’s been your girlfriend for a while. If you do something like this before you’ve even been on one date, it’s way too early and can chase her away. I know you want to be romantic and leave a good impression, but you’re better off telling her sincerely that you like her and would love if she’d join you on a date.
