What is it like to own an exotic pet?
I do not buy and have never owned an so called exotic pet. Most exoctic pets are wild animals and belong in the wild in their natural habitat and not in sineobe’s home! Additionally, most exictic pets are dangerous and hatevliving in home environments! How would you like to be moved from your comfortable environment and forced to live out in thevwikd in the Anazon jungle? That would not be a good environment for you anymore than your home is for your unfortunate exotic pet.What is wrong with owning a dog, cat, hamster, parakeet, or gold fish? Nothing!I have always owned both a cat and a dog. I shower these animals with love and each one has turned out to be very unique. Right now, I have a dog that talks to me by barking directly at me whoever he wants something. I have a cat who jumps up in my bed and kys down right next to me when I am asleep. She often looks mevdirectly in the eye and meows at me as if to talk to me. You want a unique pet? Treat your dog and cat well and talk to them, and you will see how special they turn out to be.Do not even consider buying an exotic pet. It is a big mistake for you and for the unfortunate animal.
Exotic pets that you can buy at petsmart?
I had a Hermit Crab and I loved him [lol] and he lived for 5 months, then he was stressed from switching from an isolation cage to a regular cage, and he just stopped eating, drinking, bathing, moving, and he started to stink. So I got my mind off it by going over my friend's house. Now, I'm petless [besides my cousin's dog that lives with us] and my dad said I could get a bunny, but my mom said no. I would get a Robo Dwarf Hamster but it jumps to high and my cage is too small so he'd get out. So I started at the * small animal * section with BIRDS. I had a purple parakeet and a blue parakeet when I was 8. The purple killed the blue, so I got another blue one. He did the same. It kept going but I stopped at 3 cause I felt like a murderer. [because the purple constantly killed his mates and I financed it by gettng more?] anyways, so I continued on to reptiles. Can't have a snake. All of the other lizards, geckos, chameleons, frogs, and turtles "don't like to be handled" or "cost over 20 dollars" ?? My parents are cheap. So I went to FISH. Nothing, cause Fish are boring to me. Then I went to "Live Pet" and went to the hamster / gerbil / chinchilla / rat side and goshhhh Chinchillas are GREAT but they cost 129.00 PLUS a cage, PLUS food and all that. grrrr. they have Crab there and Snails there, but do they have other things than that because I know they have a few animals that aren't up on their site? - I like to hold the animals - They can be active day and/or night it doesn't matter - They can't be big JUMPERS cause if it jumps out my hand, my mom will have a heart attack!

Check out your local pet store. If they don't have those, chances are they can point you in the right direction! Also checkout the net sites. Surely there's someone out there In the market!

And iguanas … please, do some research work before informing people.They are certainly banned in India.I have live in Kolkata, India for 5 years and I know what exactly are legal( as I am an animal activist and law enforcer).BIRDS: Budgies, love birds, palm cockatoos, cockatiels, finches, African grey parrots and macaws are some of the common legal birds in India. African grey parrots,macaws,love birds and palm cockatoos being the exotic ones.TURTLES:Though all native species are banned but a few like the red eared slider and the green sliders are legal.ANIMALS: The common ones are pig , ponies,asses,dogs,cats,cows,goat and sheep while the exotic ones being zebras, elephant,cotton top tamarin monkey and some selective ones.I hope this article was helpfull for you. How do I start my own exotic pet store?
first I would assume you know something about it and not just want it. go to school, get a degree in buisness or w/e. And yes for any buisness you need permits and licenses and all that crap. Also for certain animals need certain permits depending on what they are and where you live. If you're actually serious about doing this, you need to have alot of hands on time with exotic animals and being in that kind of job. you should work at a pet store or something first so you know what to do, a personally owned one, not a giant chain, learn how they run theres for 6 months or so, then continue learning how to start your own.
