What do conservatives think of the media bias chart that started circulating in 2016?
I think it was clearly made by a liberal. (And if you look at her site, yeah, she’s clearly a liberal, likely a progressive).Now, it was at least made by a liberal who was trying to be honest, but she doesn’t do a good job of really seeing her own bias.I think, for the most part, the vertical axis is reasonable. I’d disagree on some points, (Slate is WAY too high), but there is otherwise nothing that jumps out as being systematically off base.But the horizontal axis is well off. Pretty much everything from “Skews liberal” to “skews conservative” is a full category to the right of where it should be.Slate is hyper-partisan, so is Vox.NPR, the NYT, CNN, are all skews liberal (and arguably even hyper partisan, as of late).Most of the rest of those in the center gray area also skew liberal to some degree.Fox skews conservative, but no more (possibly less) than NBC skews liberal.The far ends of the chart, by contrast, are pretty accurate.Many of her standards seem to be confirmation bias rather than actual good measures. Length of time in the business is meaningless. (e.g., Vice does a pretty good job of meeting high standards, yet is new). They just aren’t good measures.
Why is Fox News so pro Conservative?
Why Fox news only covers news about a student being told not to wear the american flag, or a studen being discriminated for being christian? However they haven't cover the story about the teacher accused of segregating black students and calling them "disgusting" to the extend they do the others. Any reason behind that other than the fact they only care about bashing obama and pushing the conservative agenda. MSNBC and FOX are the same, the difference is that MSNBC doesnt go around screaming they are FAIR and BALANCED.
