kids these days, they want to grow up so fast, little girls with Ug boots an ipods, and dating an having babies. through the whoel movie it felt as if they wanted to grow up, kiss, go home ect. it felt the opposte of the desire to remain a child forever, it made childhood seem liek a sad twilight thats beign lost, not a sunny, exciting time liek christmas morning.
did aneyone else gat that feelign from this movie? do u think it spoke volumes about how we see childhood thes days?

What are the major differences between the original Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie and the Disney movie version?

A lot, actually. And most of it depends on what you mean by the "original" Peter Pan.Peter's first incarnation was in 1902 in The Little White Bird, a novel for adults, in which he lived in Kensington Gardens in London. He was more of a minor character, but proved rather popular. The sections containing Peter Pan were adapted into play form in 1904, and retitled Peter Pan, or the Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up, wherein his primary abode was shifted to Neverland. The story was then re-adapted into a novel, originally called Peter and Wendy, which is the version most people have read and off which the Disney movie is based. It's been years since I've read the book, and even longer since I've seen the movie, but a few differences that I remember areThe Lost Boys are adopted by Mrs. Darling. She actually converses with Peter and tries to convince him to remain with the Darling family, but he refuses, not wanting to grow up.Peter's relationship with the Darlings is multi-generational. It's hinted that Mrs. Darling had known Peter as a girl, and he comes to take away Wendy's daughter Jane, and later Jane's daughter Margaret, in the epilogue.

Relationship between Peter Pan and Wendy?

I know most people view "Peter Pan" as a children's story, which I guess you could say it is, but part of me thinks it's a timeless and ageless story. For me, Disney really made it up to be this fantasy about a boy in tights and his fairy Tinkerbell, where as I see it as the original novel, or the 2003 movie with Jeremy Sumpter.
I consider "Peter Pan" an epic love story, actually.
Wendy has hidden feelings for Peter. Sure, she's just his make believe 'mother', but you can tell there's something more.
And Peter isn't ready to love. Loving would mean growing up, and that's something he'd never do. He'd rather stay in Neverland and let Wendy go then stay with her and grow up with her so that he could be with her. It's almost tragic.

Sorry to ramble. lol.
I'm just wondering if you guys see the story/movie (2003) one as I do, or just a silly Disney fairytale
