First you have the citations, those are fairly easy. I’m going to assume you want to know about the annotation part, yeah? So first you'll need the citation, then a brief summary of your source, then your evaluation of the source. Be clear, direct, and concise in your summary.Now, here are some good things to put in your annotations:Past achievements or qualifications of the author. Has the author won any awards for their work? What was their education? Have they written a lot on the topic before?Lack of bias and lots of impartiality. Do they use a lot of emotional language? Is the author trying to sway you towards a particular viewpoint (usually, the less of this, the more trustworthy the article is)?Intended audience and level of language. Is the source for scholars or scientists or just regular people? Is the author’s choice of words very sophisticated or relatively simple?How the article is useful to you. What impression did it leave on you? Why and how does the source apply to your own work? Why is it important?Generally a page and a half (double spaced) is enough writing for your annotations.
