I have a phone without memory card slot and I want to set a movie song as ringtone. How shall I do it?

You should still have sufficient storage on your phone to download an mp3 of the movie song. In Android move it from downloads to Music using File Manager and then make it the ringtone. If you use IOS or windows there should be equivalent actions to take.

Does using an SD card to increase storage on your Android phone slow it down?

Hi, Yes it will especially if you run apps from it. If you only use the SD card for media you should never notice any performance issues. When you move apps to the SD card it will affect performance as the OS has to now constantly read and update apps on the the SD card. SD cards have a life cycle (no of read/write) if you are using a app from the SD card it will increase this read/write cycle shortening the life of the SD card. Most decent cards have a R/W cycle of 100,000 and have technology that limits wear and prolongs the life of the card. If you use a cheap SD card it's life cycle will be lower and the ability to fix errors may be hit or miss. Also cheap SD cards are one of the biggest reason for smartphone failure and crashes/system hanging. If you are running out of internal memory you should try uninstalling apps that you don't use. If you haven't used a app for a week or two then uninstall it. You can always re-install when needed from the Google play store. Further information;https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/...Peace ✌

Can you place the SD card from another phone in your own and download information?

You can just place the sd card from one phone into a card reader, connect it to your phone using the sd card reader and an adaptor, or plug it into your home pc or laptop, and copy the entire contents of the card to a folder. In order to do it with your phone, you need enough internal free storage space depending on what information your trading. You can even use the adaptor and copy all their contacts to your external SD card, or into the card, place it back into your phone, and copy all the phone numbers back into your phone. STOLEN without them even knowing it. You usually cannot transfer text messages but I am not saying you cannot, since you can back up most everything to the SD card somehow. Then you can look at the text messages somehow I am sure. Older phones, however, use BREW software may not be able to be read in other phones. This is why iPhones do not have sd card slots. They have SIM card slots but those only contain the phones programming data, maybe the contacts, but not just music and files and photos. Given some time you can copy almost anything to the SD card, take out the card, copy it to a PC or another phone internal storage, or even with the card reader and USB adaptor to another phone. But it takes time, and unless you can get ahold of the unlocked phone to do this, to get stuff out of the internal storage in the phone, is much harder. Now you know why you SHOULD lock your phone and never let a stranger borrow your phone.

How to put music and ringtones ON my LG extravert prepaid phone?

The easiest ways are #1 and #2 (I use them all the time).

1.) Bluetooth transfer from another phone/computer to LG Extravert . If you have another cell phone or device (computer, etc) with bluetooth, you can transfer songs/ringtones to your phone that way. Make sure bluetooth is on for both devices. To turn the Extravert's bluetooth on, open the main menu and go to Settings > Bluetooth Menu > Add New Device. It will ask to turn it on, choose yes. Then it says to place the device you are connecting to in discoverable mode, then choose Next. Then it will connect you to the other device so that you can open its files/folders to view & transfer any media it has.

2.) USB connection computer to phone. Open the main menu on your phone, go to Settings > USB Mode > Mass Storage. Plug the Extravert into your pc, an autoplay window should pop up. Choose "Open folder to view files". If you don't see the music/photos/ringtones/etc folders, choose the Mass Storage option again from your phone (autoplay should pop up again) and "open folder to view files". Then drag and drop music from your pc to the Music or Ringtones folder of your phone. If you need ringtones, I'd suggest finding them on a website with free ringtones, downloading them to your pc, and then transferring them using this method.

3.) Micro SD card (not a sim card). You can connect the micro sd card to your pc using a usb card reader, and drag & drop files to it. But you don't really need to do that if you can just connect your phone to the pc like the above method.

4.) Attachment in message. Your phone has an email address, which is your 10 digit phone number @vtext.com (example: 0123456789@vtext.com) and you can attach songs/ringtones in an email (using yahoo) and send them to your phone. Or you could have a friend send them as an attachment in a text. I still recommend one of the first 2 methods, since this one takes more time and the others are easier .

For my phone, is 66 mb a lot?

66MB is a fairly large amount. but depending on your usage of the phone that could easily be used up.

in the context of putting songs on the phone

looking over the songs in my itunes, (3 to 4 minute length) are ranging from about 3 - 8MB each.

depending on the quality of the sound file it could be even more than that. so considering your memory is not going to ONLY be songs, 66MB could be used up very quickly.

see if your phone has an expandable memory, this means you can go to a shop and just buy a better memory card and put it in.

(upon submitting that i realised that i was assuming you meant the memory card was 66MB. if your actual PHONE memory is 66MB thats very very good haha. but memory cards can hold a lot more. my memory card holds 234MB while my phone only has about 10MB. if you do mean the memory card is 66MB then you might want to buy a bigger one if your phone is able to have its memory card changed)
