Where I Can Get The Shirt Of Aperture Laboratories

Why is the Half-Life series considered so good while the Portal series so bad?

I wouldnt consider Portal story line as a bad one. Portal series were good products when Valve's only focus was making good games instead of lifting money from Steam. I, for one, loved so much both Portal and Half -Life series. Not many plotholes, so many good puzzles (especially on Portal 2 sequel) with an interesting scenario, a perfectly designed villain AI. You thought you were in a simple experiment tour but things get nasty later on and it became a survival game instead of a simple puzzle solving game. Also, game allowed us to find mysteries about Aperture Science and Glados without a narration which is a very good way to keep a person interested in a game. Game has a %98 overwhelmingly positive rate so you are in a very little minority if you think Portal series were bad.

Which Portal 2 meme will catch on?

It's just a sign in one of the offices, but it really made me laugh:"In case of Implosion, look directly at implosion."

What would happen if you suddenly became your favorite video game character?

My favorite character is Wheatley from Portal 2.He’s a spherical robot specifically built to make terrible decisions in order to prevent Aperture Science’s controlling intelligence, GLaDOS, from killing everyone. In GLaDOS’ words: “You’re not just a regular moron, you were designed to be a moron.” Being a sphere, he relies on a rail to get around unless someone else is there to carry him. He’s very funny though and has a charming West Country accent. So basically, I’m a metal ball with no arms or legs and have the intelligence of a potato with a British accent and moronic sense of humor. Excellent.Spoiler AheadWheatley is sent to space at the end of the game after causing a whole lot of trouble and is stranded there, which means I’m going to be bored for eternity. Even worse, the fact that I will constantly make bad decisions prevents me from coming up with a plan to get home. Hopefully an asteroid or spaceship will crash into me and put me out of my misery.

Portal/2 GLaDOS Cosplay help?

How can I cosplay GLaDOS from Portal/2? For the costume, I might order a black Aperture Science shirt and just wear dark jeans- or would a skirt be better?- and wear my Aperture lab coat. But I need help with the wig. I was thinking maybe a platinum blonde wig that neatly falls to the shoulders. I'll do yellow contact lenses. Critique accepted if you supply me with new ideas. But I also need help with the personality, like posing for pictures and interacting with others. Everyone says I do a great GLaDOS voice. Do I need any props? If so, they should be easy to make, and easy to get at on a budget. I'm not allowed to order too many things online, either. I need help now, even though this is for Nan Desu Kan next year. Thanks in advance!

Do you like Clifford the big red dog?

HAHAHA!To be honest I didn’t even know there is a thing before I read this request. But wtf, this is AWESOME!I think I need to turn my paw red…General Consensus: Chernobyl’s Mascot.

I have read Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Heroes of the Olympus, Hunger Games, Divergent and Twilight books. What would I read next?

I second reading Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit (read The Hobbit first). I would also suggest:Bullfinch’s Mythology (Greek mythology, maybe you’ll pick up something new about the Olympian books)T. H. White’s Once and Future King (Arthurian legend)The Vampire Lestat books (vampires, obviously) by Anne RicePretty much anything by Mercedes Lackey (start with the Arrows of the Queen trilogy)Pretty much anything by Anne McCaffrey (start with The Dragonriders of Pern series) be warned: even though it doesn’t always feel like it, McCaffrey is a science fiction author, not a fantasy author. You might accidentally learn something.I would also suggest just looking up your favorite books on Amazon and see what their matching engine suggests. It’s actually pretty good at what it does.Good luck and happy reading!

Why do the men in the Secret Service always wear black suits?

Would you be intimidated and discouraged from doing bad stuffs if the President’s human shields are all wearing these?Black is the colour of formality and seriousness - when someone’s wearing a black suit, most of the time they’re not out to have a chat with you: They have a job to do, and a Secret Service’s agent within the President’s security detail job is to detain, control or neutralise a potential threat to the President. No matter how well-trained they all are, the last thing they would want is to have someone doing a stupid thing such as pulling a pistol out and aim smack-dab in-between the eyes of the President, so their attire is to give a stern warning that they won’t hesitate to pump you full of leads if you screwed up.

Gamer Messenger Bag - Which One to Buy?

Hi I'm a gamer girl and I'm looking to buy a messenger bag to go with my geek chic (style of fashion). I was wondering if you guys could say what you reckon the top 3 (1-3) bags are, bearing in mind that I love these games equally. Also I want something that will easily identify me as a gamer to other gamers.

Thanks!

Questions about Fusible Interfacing?

Interfacing is used as a backing to a lightweight fabric to make it stiffer and so the fabric holds its shape. It's used most often in collars and cuffs of dress shirts -it makes the collars and cuffs so they hold their shape. Without interfacing a different fabric would need to be used for collars and cuffs -which is why long ago collars and cuffs were sold seperately from shirts.

There are two types of interfacing fusible and sew it. fusible uses heat and steam from an iron to melt a layer of glue which adheres to the backside of the fabric. Sew in is self explanitory: you sew it in place. A fusble can only be be used on fabrics that can take the heet and steam of an iron. sew ins can be used anywhere. The weight depends on how stiff or light you want the finished piece.

For you companion cube you will need a medium heavy sew in. Plush fabric doesn't like the heat and steam of the iron, it can melt some plush fabrics. Take you plush with you to a fabric store and explain what you are trying to do. Drape the plush over a few weights of interfacing. You'll soon be able to see for yourself which weight to get. I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say you'll end up with a medium sew in fleece-type interfacing, the type used for place mats and chair pads. It will give your cube both strength and softness. Cut the interfacing with the same pattern pieces as the cube pieces, place the plush on top of the interfacing and from then on treat them as one layer through sewing and turning.

And remember -companion Cube Plush cannot speak, threaten you, or stab you. (That paranoia you feel is totally normal.) and you never have to euthanize it. That's right, friends. Unless you happen to have an Aperture Science Emergency Intelligence Incinerator in your house, there's no reason to incinerate your cute lil' cube friend. (Studies have proven that those 8 out of 10 Aperture Science engineers were wrong and the Weighted Companion Cube does in fact feel pain upon incineration.) You may have incinerated one or two Weighted Companion Cubes in your time, but now is time for penance. Squeeze it, feed it cake, and love it long time. My son has several and none of them has ever hurt any of us. These Turrets on the other hand... :-D
