Just got an email about an online job... i've looked over it but it looks decent... what do you guys think?

To become a Logistics Clerk you must have good organizational skills and be able to work under deadline pressure. Logistics Clerks must understand general shipping policies and regulations regarding freight and be familiar with rates and routes so that they can determine shipping methods. Logistics Clerks also inspect incoming and outgoing materials, verify orders and prepare shipping packages and labels.

COMPANY SERVICES OVERVIEW
Many products are much less expensive in the U.S.A. But many U.S. sellers do not ship directly to international addresses. Now our international customers can shop online on sites like eBay, Amazon, and BestBuy and we will ship the packages to them. We can also assist with purchases and arrange payment.

SCHEME OF WORK
1. Receive packages using your own address;
2. Unpack and examine incoming shipments;
3. Forward packages using USPS Labels;
4. Maintain accurate records of items shipped and received.

JOB ACTIVITIES
 Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment.
 Determine the method of shipment, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
 Compare the quantity and identification numbers of merchandise against orders.
 Insert items into container/box.
 Prepare records of merchandise shipped.
 Post weight and ship charges.
 Keep files of shipping records.
 Trace missing or misplaced shipments.
 Verify receipt of shipments against bills of lading, invoices or other records.

they also sent me the application, but theres nothing weird about it. the only things i think could possibly be peculiar is that it asks for my birthday, and doesnt ask for an employment history.

They will email you whenever they need materials and also state the type of materials and they quantity they need, it is now your duty to contact the supplier through email to make orders for the materials and also state the quantity that should be mail to the agent address through the post..

Each agent will only order for materials once in a week, we are employing you just to reduce the workload for us, our supplier and for the agents. It is an online job where agents will only contact you for materials during the weekdays. Salary/wages payment is $185 weekly which will be paid to you in form of check.

As much as the job would be great and all, I'd really like to make sure that this is legit before I do anything. Does anyone know if this is a known scam going around, or....?

Where do I put the reference code listed with an online job posting?

Like everything else, this answer depends on the lister.

First choice is to include the reference code in the subject line on the email response.:


In the body of your cover letter write:
Responding to your reference code listed as RAD-Administrative Assistant

There may be listings where they specifically ask you to include it in the subject line, or in the first paragraph of your cover letter: If no such direction is given, list the information directly beneath the ATTENTION: Individual Name, in direct indentation write the subject reference number and the source from which you got the number.
