Is it better to do a job in Vizag Steels?

As compared to other PSUs Vizag steel is better as:Located at very nice place with sea beach & within 20 km Vizag city (smart city) available.Obviously salary package is very handsome.Stationary job. You need not to move around through the India.Pleasent weather and decent people.Very nice steel city with all kind of facilities like market,stadium,Jim,bar, very good school s for children are available.Transportation system is very nice.Well connected by railways and international airports within 10 km.After all job satisfaction.You can hardly get this type of opportunity in PSUs even better than engineering services also as per me if you don't want power.

Is it true that jobs in Vizag Steel are being sold for money, or is it purely talent-based to get into it?

Let me tell you from my experience.Back in 2013 when I started preparing for PSUs. I got chance to appear for interview of MT post at HAL in Bangalore in dec 2013. My interview went good. I was almost sure for my selection as I was having some experience in private sector as well. Last statement of interviewer was confidence boosting. But My name was not in final list. Then after talking regarding this to my friends and other relatives they all told me that its all fixed. Its govt and it is all pre-planned. For the next one year I didn’t filled any form considering if its all fixed why to go for that.But you know, I could not hold my self longer for full filling my dream, to be a part of PSU. Started preparing afresh. Cleared some written tests and finally made in to Vizag Steel. If you will ask any one who is looser probably he or she may have his/her own version, resulted from frustration and failure because for them “The grapes are sour” but a winner always realize how was the journey. Your motivation is your strength. Don’t let it break by mere some people’s opinion.I am not aware of what is happening at lower level job profile scale(non-executives and contract workers) but at Executive level(B.Tech Entry), based on talk with people of my batch and seniors I can surely say recruitment is merit based.Best of Luck !!

Which is the best place to live in - Raipur or Vizag?

I have lived both in Raipur and Vizag, so i guess i m a rightful person to answer this question.Raipur is my home town and I have been in Raipur since last 15 years. So undoubtedly I have seen the major changes the city has gone through. Days before, life was not so easy here due to lack of proper transportation, roadways, job opportunities etc.But nowadays things have changed. U can compare Raipur to one of the most developed city of India - vizag.Comparison made as follows -Transportation: so called the lifeline of any city, vizag is ahead of Raipur in terms of transportation facilities. APSRTC Of vizag operates number of buses between every possible routes. Whereas CG govt. Is still investing in this field.Job opportunities: Raipur being one of the fastest developing city of India, provides numerous job opportunities in every field. So basically if u are looking for settling down, u can seek for Raipur. Whereas in Vizag u will face stiff competition for any job u are looking for.Cost of living: As personally i felt cost of living is more in Raipur. From medicines to plots, approximately every commodity is bit expensive in Raipur.Climatic conditions: vizag being a coastal city has comparatively higher humidity. Temperature during summer never cross 35. On the other hand side Raipur suffers a very hard summer,sometimes it crosses 42. Therefore from climate point of view vizag is better place to live.Traffic and rush: traffic is well managed in bith the cities, u won't suffer any time loss during driving. Even though population of Raipur is more but still rush is toleratable.After concluding these many points I would say if u are a well settled person Vizag is a better place to live. But If u are looking for starting a new business or looking for new job then u should go for Raipur.
