What can I do about squirrels, plants and prevention?
ok….i need my gardening experts for this. I have never had to contend with this problem, and I know its going to be a BIG one. Squirrels, flowers, and prevention. I have a huge East facing patio, which the formal homeowner fed these critters, and the yard looked like a waste land. This will be the first Spring I am here, and I have already started clearing and I planted my rose bushes before I moved in last December. Two questions. What flowers can I plant, that the squirrels won’t eat, or destroy? Outside of poisoning and harming the squirrels, I have heard about Garlic and Mothballs. Do these really work? And any other suggestions on in ground flowers, and those I can plant in pots that they won’t mess with, would be greatly appreciated. I have been growing roses for years, and hopefully the thorns will keep them at bay.
