Where Is Basis For Measuring Maximum Height Limit For Fence

When would finding a perimeter be used in everyday life?

When you buy baseboard to go around the edge of the floor, in many tiling applications, or for molding around windows or doors you need to calculate the perimeter.  Molding for picture frames is also sold by the inch, so the perimeter is needed to calculate the quantity needed and the cost.

What is the minimum distance beyond which a building can be constructed on a national highway?

(1) The minimum distance between the central line of a street and any building (other than a compound wall or fence or outdoor display structure) shall be 4.50 metres and the minimum distance between the street boundary and building shall be 2 metres for buildings up to 7 metres in height, in roads other than National Highway, State Highway, District Roads and roads notified by Panchayat; and it shall be 3 metres. for National Highway, State Highway, District Roads and notified roads; and for buildings more than 7 metres in height the set back shall be minimum 3 metres from the boundary of any street/road. Provided that in the case of cul-de-sac not exceeding 150 metres length or pedestrian lanes or streets below 3 metres width it shall be sufficient if the distance between the plot boundary abutting the street and building is 1.50 metres for buildings up to 7 metres height irrespective of the distance from the central line of the road to the buildings.(2) Any restriction under street alignment or building line or both, if any, fixed for the area and restriction under any Town Planning Scheme or any other rules or byelaws shall also apply simultaneously to all buildings in addition to the provisions contained in sub rule (1).(3) The provisions contained in sub-rules (1) and (2) shall apply invariably to all buildings where the front, rear or side yards abut a street or gain access through a street.Reference : 28. What should be the height of a compound wall for a building?

Compound walls in my locality. The building codes and local municipal rules of a state governs the height of a compound wall.A compound walls serves as a barrier between two or more properties. The property may be a barren land, farm land, building or a industry. From commercial to residential projects, compound wall is an intrinsic part of every building. While serving as demarcate of the boundary of the property, a compound wall also acts as the first layer of protection from unwanted entrants. In gated communities instead of compound wall, fencing or paling will be provided to demarcate the boundaries of properties. In India, the height of compound wall is governed by theNational Building Code of India- 2016 Volume 1. Section 12 Clause 3 and is produced here for ready reference. Also the point to be noted here is as per NBC one can build a boundary wall or compound wall of minimum 1.5 m height to a maximum of 2.4 m height with permission from the local municipality. The height is measured from the centerline of the front street of the building.A MS-Grill or barbed wire mesh or netted mesh or electric fence can be put on top of masonry or concrete compound wall. However one has to obtain permission from local authority. The thickness of compound wall/ boundary wall is not mentioned in NBC. However as per industry practice it can be 230 mm to 400 mm. An ideal thickness of wall shall be 300 mm.This question generally props up to every individual when taking over from the builder or when the apartments or buildings are beside a slum or drainage. In most of the cases the residents demand the builder to raise the compound wall more than 3.0 m for extra protection which in true sense does not serve the intended purpose. For extra protection a barbed wire fence or electric fence can be provided on top of the existing compound wall.Even I seen residents approaching the courts of law against the builder and Architect but finally waking up with this clause in NBC.As per the Vastu Shastra the ideal height of compound wall is 4-6 feet. The height of the compound should not cut the incoming natural light. Since sunlight plays an integral role in enhancing the positive vibes in the property, so a compound wall should never be too high.Regardless of it is a residential or a commercial property, the compound wall should never be higher than the building.Pa1

People claiming ownership of vacant homes by maintaing and paying taxes?

In *some* jurisdictions it is possible to take title to land owned by another without payment to the owner. The legal concept is called Adverse Possession. Merely fixing a place up and paying the taxes is not sufficient to perfect title under Adverse Possession.

The rules vary by state but the general concept is that the possessor must openly, notoriously and continuously occupy the property of another with the intent to deny the rightful owner their right to the property and without the owner's knowledge or consent. The occupancy must be continuous for a period of years that varies by state law and may be as short as 5 years to as long as 20 or more years. Most states also require the adverse possessor to pay all property taxes as they come due. Let's dissect it a little:

Open: The occupancy must be obvious to a casual observer. Any attempt to conceal the occupancy of the property (fences, hedges or other vegetation, etc.) is a fatal flaw to an Adverse Possession claim.

Notorious: Contrary to the operation of common law. If you don't have title to a property or a lease or other rental agreement, your possession of it is notorious. Therefore a hold-over tenant can never claim title by Adverse Possession. Nor can a joint owner claim sole ownership of a property. Nor can an occupier whom the owner has granted permission in exchange for maintaining the property, or the employees or servants of the owner.

Continuous: While this does not mean 24 x 7 x 365, any absence from the property that is not considered temporary, such as for work, medical care, education, or vacation, breaks the continuity chain and resets the clock. If the occupier has any other legal domicile, their presence cannot be continuous by definition. Renting the property to another party, even fraudulently, also breaks the continuous possession chain. Merely tilling and harvesting the land also does not meet the test of continuous possession. The possessor must occupy the property in totality as if it was their own.

If Babe Ruth got to hit in these ridiculous small baseball stadiums how many more home runs......?

The strike zone is much, much smaller now than it was even 20 yeras ago... it used to extend from the knees to the shoulders. Now, any pitch above the belt is high and called a ball.

Even if pitchers are better (if you ever see one that can actually pitch a full nine inning game, let me know), they have a much smaller area to throw to in order to get a called strike. Ruth would be able to tee off on these guys quite well.

Yeah, pitchers have a lot of pitches today. But they had a lot of pitches back then in Ruth's time as well, including several that have since been outlawed. And even still, 95% of the pitchers out there now have the same 3 basic pitches that they can throw (sometimes for strikes).

Also, travel and hotel accommodations are ultra-luxurious today compared to the overnight train rides that Ruth used to take as a player.

Ruth was an incredible athlete. Ninety nine percent of fans don't know how good he was because most of the pictures and films shown of Ruth today were taken in the 1930s, after his prime. But if you google, "Babe Ruth" and look at the photos of his early days, he was in fantastic shape.

And he was much stronger than most players who are in the major leagues now, despite the fact that he didn't weight train on any type of a regular basis. He performed a number of legendary feats of strength during his playing days.

Ruth was so good that, for more than 30 years, he held the record not only for most home runs hit in World Series play, but he also held the record for most consecutive scoreless innings pitched in W.S. play. His HR record was broken by Mickey Mantle in 1964 and his pitching record was broken by Whitey Ford in 1961.

Approximately how many bags of cement are required for a 1500 square foot house?

Here’s a quick thumb rule for calculating concrete slabs by the square foot. Most all slabs around residences are 4″ thick. Driveways sidewalks, patios and garage floors and other interior slabs are all 4 inches thick. When you buy concrete delivered in a truck to your site you’ll be charged for the volume. They sell it by the cubic yard. One cubic yard will cover 80 square feet of 4” floor. To find out how many cubic yards you need, divide 1500 sqft by 80 sqft (81 to be exact). The answer 18.5 cubic yards for just the 4″ slab floor, the support footings have to be calculated too.If your house is a slab-on-grade design then the slab will need footings under the floor. The building slab needs additional support under all the exterior walls and load supporting walls. Without support the 4″ slab will break because the house weighs so much and those loads get concentrated into small areas, hence the footings under the slab floor.Sometimes there’s almost as much concrete within the footings as in the 4” floor. But you’ll need to calculate the size of the footings to see how many cubic yards for those in addition to the floor volume to get a total.A house this size will need about 3 to 4 cubic yards of concrete for footings but without a set of plans this is just SWAG engineering. You’ll need a few hundred feet of reinforcing bars too. Some standard sizes for footings are 8″hgt x 16″ wide, and 10″x20″ or 12″hgt x 24″ wide″. Just multiply the hgt by width by the length to find out the volume of the support footings. Remember there are 27 cu ft in one cubic yard, and inches will have to be converted to feet. The building plans will call out the sizes and placement of all the footings and you can use those as a guide for your calculations.I really can’t answer your cement bag question because I’m not sure if you are asking about the specific amount of cement used in a Concrete mix or you want to know how many bags of redi mix concrete it would take to do your house. But if you are going to Home Depot for the redi mix stuff you’ll need about 960 bags, the 80 lb bags.

Leaving puppy home alone on weekends only, ok or not?

4-5 hours is fine. I'd also recommend buying a crate and training her to use it (there are thousands of articles and videos online) to sleep in and stay in while you're gone. However, take the time to read about crate training and don't use it only when you leave the house. This is really important.

Having her stay in a crate for those 5-6 hours is infinitely safer than leaving her in a kitchen. Puppies at 11 weeks sleep 16+ hours per day anyway.

edit: 5-6 hours is NOT a long time to leave a puppy in a crate. They will sleep the entire time. Every puppy I've had was perfectly capable of holding its bowels while I slept for 8-9 hours. They've all slept in the crate in the same room and can wake me up anytime they need out - but it almost never happens. If the guy only works on the weekends, so what? At the worst, it will be alone for 5 or 6 hours on two days per week. That little amount of time in a crate will not permanently damage a puppy.

Yes, the puppy may eliminate in its crate while he is gone, but it would also eliminate in the kitchen. And if it's going to eat the feces, it will do whether it's in a crate or in the kitchen. But a puppy is far less likely to eliminate in a properly sized crate. In either case, he can just clean the crate or floor.

Having a puppy lose in any room of the house is far more dangerous to its health than putting it in a crate for 5 hours. Have you seen what intestinal blockage can do to a dog because it ate dangerous Let me assure you that a puppy will not die or require expensive surgery (which also puts its life at risk) from being in a crate for 5 hours.

The PETA nuts on this dog Q&A board are about to drive me nuts! Get a water bottle your dog can use from inside the crate. When you get up in the morning, take it out to eliminate, feed it, let it eliminate again 30 minutes later, and then go to work. When you get home, feed it two more times before you go to bed. It's not as if you're working FIVE WHOLE HOURS per day, seven days a week.

Your puppy will live through being in a crate two times per week for two days per week. Good lord.
