Why should America even bother trying to meddle in the Middle East?
It is a combination of the principle of self-determination and a desire to stop atrocities:If you see a thug in a far a way place beating his weaker neighbor to pulp, you have a strong urge to stop the thug. If you have the means to do that, chances are you will do it in a liberal democracy where decent people still have some say on policies, foreign and domestic.The reality is complicated of course. The neighbor is no saint and the beating is just the latest round of thugs taking turn beating each others to pulp. You get in thinking you are doing justice to the bully, only to find out that the neighbor just turned bully himself and starts beating the bully you just knock down to pulp.The Star Trek shows have something called the Prime Directive, but it is still complicated as all Star Trek fans know.
What do you think are the reasons for which the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Barack Obama?
I think that President Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize because he has given hope, real tangible hope, to his fellow Americans and to the entire world in an age when everyone is feeling uncertain and, on some level, scared about the future. We don't know how or when these wars will end, we're struggling through a global economic crisis, and those are only the two biggest issues at hand. Obama has a lot on his plate, but I believe that he is the ideal type of person to be leading the free world confidently and inspiringly farther into the 21st Century. He will get America back on its feet eventually and as he does so, inspire the rest of us around the globe to believe in the USA again and build a better world with them. I don't care if some people think that it is a naive way of thinking. Our world has turned into such a disgusting pit of cynicism, it's time for us to once again begin believing in the good that is always possible.
What do you think a liberals solution is to the Syrian Civil War? Obama considered a no-fly zone, but backed down due to public opinion. Trump received criticism for his bombing orders. Are there legitimate non-violent ways to resolve this?
It’s called diplomacy.As a liberal/progressive, I believe there is always room for diplomacy, no matter the situation. When diplomacy fails, then better diplomacy is needed. I believe the military option is the very last and final resort, not the go-to option (which both Obama and Trump have favored).In the case of Syria, I believe that Assad wants two things. He wants peace in his country and he wants to remain in power. The rebels want neither—their motivation is to create yet another caliphate in the Middle East—a caliphate that attracts terrorists. For the life of me, I don’t understand why we’re on the side of the rebels.Yes, I suspect that Assad has used WMDs against his people, but I’m fairly certain that the rebels have done far worse things and have conspired to make their atrocities look like Assad committed them so they can secure support from the United States and her allies. It’s a sick situation that has no military solution. None.Diplomacy has to work. We have to keep trying until we find a way to make it work. The Syrian situation might in fact be the catalyst that should bring Russia and the US to the same side in defeating terrorism. We both have the same objective.
What are the causes of conflict in the Middle East?
People may give many reasons for lack of peace in Middle-East but the true reason is the rich oil resources of the region.Not just oil but this piece of land is also blessed with natural gas and other natural resources; 32% of the world’s natural gas rests in the hands of Middle-East states.So, to be very serious the war going on in Middle-East is more a result of international conspiracies than it is of sectarian violence.Middle-East is rich of oil,petroleum,gas,opium,gold and aluminium resources.Seeing these facts one must consider that ‘’Why these countries are not developing?The reason is that international powers are using these countries as nothing but their war grounds to fulfil their vested interests.All of this is a conspiracy of anti-Muslim powers.Yes, some of the middle-east states i.e. Saudi Arabia are progressing much faster than others but the reason is that not a single one of the 1.6 billion Muslims of the world would stay low if something happens to Saudi Arabia.Also that Saudi Arabia and other such nations sell petrol and natural gas to world’s powers on low rates and easy terms.You might be surprised but this is true, the human-blood is being shed for nothing but the gain of power.The UN has failed miserably in prevailing peace in Middle-East. In fact UN The United Nations is not more than a Debating Society.The so-called ambassadors of peace instead of making efforts to prevent war and save human lives give preference to their own interests.The current situation in Syria is hidden from none.Armies enter these countries ignoring their regional sovereignty, in the name of prevailing peace,fight for their own interests and once they have been fulfilled they leave. No one cares for the hundreds of thousands that have that and the ones that are being killed daily either by terrorists or the ambassadors of peace.The only thing these cowards care about is gaining control natural resources of the region at any cost of all.
Liberals, would you still claim Islam is a religion of peace if you were punishable by death?
I find it sick when Liberals tell Ex-Muslims, Ex Muslim Gays, etc how they should feel about Islam I'm sure if you were declared punishable by death by a religion you would make it your objective in life to destroy the said religion and it's followers.
Why don't we just nuke the middle east and get it over with?
I have a idea, instead of wasting so many lives and blood sweat and tears fighting middle eastern militias and fighting isis and all these groups of terrorists ect... why not just pull our troops back and shoot 5 nukes there blow up the whole middle east and its affiliates, same goes for north korea and Russia. these countries want a problem with us but they don't know what we are capable of. They threaten are lives and are freedom yet we sit back and let it happen because of the money in revenue. its all a game played by socialist and Obama and his group of democratic money pigs. idk politics is a touchy subject and no two people agree completely on politics and this question is bound to get controversial but why not just end it all and just call ti quits and retreat.
